The Road to Hades is a horror game. Simply said, the game is bad in every aspect. It is full of bugs, it can happen that you or that an item which you need to proceed fall out of the world and you have to restart. Also, if you try to change something in the settings menu you can not confirm any changes you make, the only option is to hit the Esc key, which erases all changes made. The 4 achievements are broken too. Besides of the bugs, the graphics are not good and the sounds are bad too. In terms of horror, I was pretty bored, it was not scary at all. The best which this game had to offer was the song during the credits. The Road to Hades has a duration of 30 minutes. It is absolutely not worth 14,99€ at all. the game has pretty good graphics the sound is average but not bad but it has a lot of errors in the way of handling and also in the settings if you have patience you can manage them but I wouldn't say it's the smoothest game but for the price it's a fair game.
1 hour to finish. $14.99. Broken achievements. You do the math.
While there are some nice visuals and interesting moments in this game, it's currently a chore to play. Admittedly, I didn't play this in V.R., so perhaps I wasn't getting the proper experience. What I did experience however, was a lot of bugs and glitches, as well as odd intermittent performance issues. If these issues were resolved and a few things were tightened up a bit, this might be something worthwhile. Also, The Road to Hades can be completed in about 30 minutes, so the price tag of £11 seems a little steep. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01bpbJ4RxyM
So I got this game on sale, and its actually very interesting. with a few very fixibable glitches. I love the fatal frame atmosphere. It's quite creepy. Overalll the game looks great. But, there are a few very noticable issues. Clipping issues - Things your holding go right thru the wall at all times. Model/texture issues - Some items appear flat when they should be on a 3d plane, like candels. Textures are inconsistent in some places. Some "cobwebs" have transluscent boxes floating around them. Sound issues: The looping sound is not looped seamlessly, and there is a very unimmersive pause when the FX track restarts. Sometimes the sound stops altogether. Also, the sound is sometimes completely off.. For example, when I step in water in one area the "floor creak" sound continues. Lack of direction: In my previous review, I got stuck at the sitting skeleton because I thought I ran into a game ending glitch. Actually, you need to take candle and light her pipe. How was I suppose to ...
No idea what this game does with my pc but i play on a intel I9 1080ti 32 gb and yet after starting the game 4 times i can walk to a door then tracking goes complete bananas and the pc crashes. Refunded. Theres a BIG BUG in that game you really need to kill fast. But 100% sure if this is fixed with updates i will buy the game again bec it looked good.
I have mixed feelings about this game for a few reasons. It's not optimal for playing: there are many bugs that need ironed out. ~example is the grabbing feature, sometimes it works. Items go through walls, as does the character. but surely this is known to the devs and are probably testing to see how well the game plays Live. This is not the only bug I encountered. HOWEVER, it's a BEAUTIFUL game. The atmosphere is there, the art, and the mood all come together gorgeously to create the perfect horror atmosphere in haunted Japan. While there are many improvements that are needed, and felt like this launched prematurely, this game has a lot of promise. But it is not 100% ready. Play at your own risk, but you will most definitely enjoy the atmosphere.
Fulls of bugs and does not seem to work well with the oculus Rift (not sure about about the Vive , ETC.)
Clipped Though A Wall And Fell Out Of Bounds.
Good grief! This game is horrible. Controls are non responsive. When i drop something by accident it is impossible to pick up. When i discover keys i am unable to interact with them even though there is nothing in the way to prevent me from picking them up. Options menu is anything but as all the choices are already made so i can't really change anything including key binds. The only good thing i can say is nice music which sets a eerie death filled mood. Too bad they are not selling the soundtrack with the game.
