About This Game

This is not a fight to the death, but a fight for the tastiest pie! It's a challenge for those hardened in battles with tons of lollipops and candies. A favourite board game of many parents, is now available in a completely new version for children. Don’t panic under fire, as many sweets and delicious cakes await instead of a navy fleet; and caramel instead of cannonballs.

Develop your own strategy and don’t give your opponents a shot at livin’ the dolce vita! Gather a team of friends and get an unforgettable battle of cakes underway! For the very bravest player there are battles against AI players, with different levels of difficulty available (you can always call your mom or dad for help!).

Game Rules

Jolly Battle is played using the rules of a well-known board game. The players do battle with a fleet of funny animated cakes. Firepower is brought to bear through caramel bombs, which zero in on the cakes that the players take aim at. Players take turns to attack. So choose where to place your fighting cakes and try to ‘chow down’ on the enemy fleet faster than it can devour your own!

  • Simple, classic rules
  • Attractive graphics
  • Entertaining soundtrack

Developers

The indie development team nurtures and cherishes its projects like they were their own children. And of course, they pay close attention to every last detail. We made this game with loving care and attention, as we would for family and friends.

Cute, funny version of good old Battleship. The little cakes react to what's happening on the board, and the various avatars (you can pick yours, the opponent gets a random one when playing against the AI) also have their own reaction. Makes me smile. :) The background screen is also interactive, stuff happens when you click on it. Overall very playful, friendly style. :) You can play against an AI with 3 difficulty options, and there's the option to play against someone on Steam, worldwide, or LAN. I just tested the worldwide one so I can finally post this review, and it was fun. :) (I lost.) There's a 30 sec timer per turn, that resets when you hit a cake. (I wonder where I can enter my name though, it just said 'Player', while the other player had a name shown.) I should also mention there's the option for a tutorial explaining the game, if you don't know how to play. The dev is very friendly and they're updating the game with new features, listening to feedback. Further Option...

This game is based on the old game Battleships but with cakes instead of ships, plus it also has booster items to aid you in your battles. It's really fun and has easy to grasp game play, cute characters, colourful animations and comical sounds. Although it is a simple game and very low priced it seems well polished, so well polished that it feels like a cheap game made by a big developer. There is a single player campaign (against AI) plus online play. I don't know why but i keep coming back to it when i have a few minutes to spare. The Devs keep giving updates plus add events at Christmas, Valentines etc Supports 16 languages Definitely worth its incredibly low sale price

I really got this for my grandchildren but started a game on a wet rainy day - and found it quite fun. The characters are cute and upbeat, the colors very cheerful, the music is appropriate and it doesn't take long to finish a game - 5 - 7 minutes. All in all a surpisingly pleasent little time waster for those moments like when you get put on hold for too long.

Pros: A very cheap smooth battleship game featuring an easy AI and 1v1 online by easily inviting your friend through steam. Cute cakes instead of battleships making the game more family friendly. The game has 49 achievements. There are also multiple languages to choose from. Cons: The game is free on mobile. Both the steam version and the mobile version features ingame purchases with coins that you can buy powerups to win the game easily. The AI is too easy to beat with the only option to make it easier. I think it would be cool if cosmetics were added so that you are able to spend the coins on something that doesn't remove the fun out of the game.

Battleships. The game of randomness. Made as if it was a phone game, with the daily rewards and boosts to bring you back and give you the vaguest sense of agency. Can you sense my disdain?

I wanted to play a bit before I wrote a review of it, so that I could leave honest feedback. I don't like that I have to pay for the game on steam. I do feel like, with the microtransactions available, that this should be a free game since from what I understand it's free on the phone. However I purchased this for myself when it was on sale for like, fifty cents I think, and I don't regret the purchase. Starting with the campaign, I don't dig the donut system. It's not a free game, so I really feel like there shouldn't be anything that prevents me from playing. This is minor though, since honestly I didn't just buy this game for the campaign. The campaign itself is cute and has three different difficulty levels. I'm enjoying it so far, even if I've gotten stuck on some levels and felt forced to use boosters. The campaign isn't designed GREAT but it's enjoyable. The MAIN reason I bought this game is to play with friends. The play with friends option is absolutely enjoyable. I like ...
