About This Game

Camp W puts you in the role of a young Witch experiencing their first ever summer away from home at sleepaway camp. But there’s a twist! (Isn’t there always?) Though you’re from the Witching Realm, where magic is commonplace, you’ll be enrolling at a summer camp for Humans who have long since forgotten that Witchcraft exists. While summering in the Human Realm, you'll have to conceal your identity and make sure not to get caught practicing your craft. Make friends, cast spells, and uncover secrets during your first ever summer away from home. Welcome to Camp W!

Features

Friending Simulator - Camp W is filled with interesting characters, but everyone can’t be your best friend -- that would be exhausting. You’ll have to decide which campers interest you the most and then get to know them and their stories over the course of your playthrough.

Mysteries Await - There’s more to a summer at Camp W than kickball and friendship bracelets. Discover secrets about the history of the Witching Realm and battle evil forces who threaten to rain on your summer fun.

Get Your “Choose” On
- You decide which camp activities to attend, which questions to ask, and how you want to respond at critical moments throughout the game. One playthrough won’t be enough to explore every path of this branching story.

A Hand-Drawn World - Visit more than twenty beautifully illustrated locations--during the day and at night--and hang out with fifteen fun characters, all of which feature a range of fun poses and expressions. Not to mention your Grimoire, which will fill up with drawings as you play through the game.

Collectables Galore
- Cast 12 different spells, earn 18 unique badges, and unlock 60+ illustrated memories. You’ll have to replay the game to see them all, but it’s worth it--and you’ll earn achievements along the way.

All-Ages...But Not Just For Kids - Camp W was designed to be enjoyed by all ages, and we mean it. Youngsters and adults alike will find a lot to love about the story, dialogue, humor and drama throughout the game.

Original Score
- A complete score featuring more than a dozen tracks composed just for this game by talented composer and musician Davey Thomas Tucker. Listen to it online for yourself right here!

A cute Visual Novel in its own style that isn't about romance ? You have my attention. And it takes place in a magical universe in which you can even cast spells ? Where do I sign ? Camp W is a lovely and family friendly Visual Novel that I particularly enjoyed, to which I was attracted in the first place because of the creative, beautiful and colourful hand-drawn artwork, and then by the witchcraft. You play as a teen witch : Lysander, if you want to play as a boy, or Liliandra if you prefer a girl ; you can rename your character in any case at the beginning of the game and the gender doesn't exactly have any impact. The game starts in the Witching Realm at Coventry Middle School, on the last day of the school year. Every witch spends his/her summer vacation at Witch Summer Camp. Well, actually, every witch, except you ; as every year, you get to spend your school break at home, studying and being quizzed by your mother, Mila, who happens to be one of the most f...

Overall I thought Camp W was an incredibly charming and well-thought out game with an interesting plot and nice illustrations. I have already completed 2 entire playthroughs of the game and have gotten both the Sophie and the Bros friendship endings. It takes about 1 1/2 hours to complete a single playthrough if you're a fast reader. After your first play, you can speed up the text you've already seen which will shorten the playtime considerably. PROS: - the art style is hand drawn and pleasing to look at. The whole vibe of the game is that it's very relaxing and the colors of the human realm are very vibrant and happy, which I think captures the mood of summer camp very very well. Other design elements like the glowing foxfire plants were also really, really nicely drawn. - unique character designs. All of the characters were unique and easily distinguishable. The artists made some really good decisions with facial expressions, physical features, etc. For example, Ruby's glowing red...

This is more of an interactive book than a game. If you want to help a kid get into reading, this is definitely worth a try. If, however, you are looking for an adventure game I would not recommend it.

TL;DR? If you enjoy visual novels and you’re looking for something that’s kind and heartwarming without being too cheesy, this is a pleasant experience that give you a warm fuzzy feeling on the inside when you’re done playing. ********************************************** In Camp W, you play as a young witch--Liliandra or Lysander, depending on your preference--whose (super successful) mother wants to keep at home to study during the summer break, instead of to Witch Summer Camp. Frustrated at the prospect of spending all summer on spells and potions, you wander off into the forest and discover a portal into the Human Realm...that lands you right smack damp in the midst of day one orientation at Camp W! Spend the summer hiding your witch identity from other campers, making friends...and solving some of the mysteries that spring up! Camp W is a visual novel. That means pretty much exactly what it sounds like: that this game will involve lots of reading, but there are some pr...

This game is great. It's a cute visual novel style game that has tons of character and Characters. I've been taking it slow on my Youtube channel, where I play with my daughter, but we both love it. The characters are fun, the story is whimsical, and the developers are genuinely nice people. I cannot reccomend this game enough. It's great for both kids and adults. This is the first game I've written a review for, so that should say a lot about how much I enjoy it.

This game is precious. You play as a middle school aged witch child who gets magically transported to a humans-only summer camp! It's very nice to play a visual novel game that has such a different theme from the norm. Pros: - Amazing, adorable artwork. - Cute game mechanics for spells and other magic-related things - Generally fun and relaxing atomosphere - Rad camp badges to collect for doing various tasks - Summer Caaaaaaaaaamp! Cons: - The way the Grimoire (the book you write things in, put spells in, is the main menu) is kind of weird. There are no instructions for it. To close the Grimoire you just click to the side of it. All in all, this is a really cute, fun game. It's different from the usual visual novels that involve some sort of romantic storyline. This one is just all about having fun and making friends!

Camp W is a lovely time, spent with fun colorful characters, and filled with some of the most delightfully charming writing! It does feel like the setup of a much grander story, and is also a little bit on the short side; but that just means you can quickly replay the game again and see the other scenarios you may have missed the first time through! The game just has a wonderfully vibrant and positive personality; if you need a break from the bleak or an antidote to the antipathy blues, Camp W's got the cure for what ails ya!

Camp W is a wonderful escape from real life! It’s a wholesome adventure with beautiful art and a humorous, uplifting story. The characters are varied, unique, and have real depth. The whole tone feels very true to my real life summer camp/summer school experiences, which was an unexpected bonus delight. You get to cast spells, solve a mystery, collect merit badges, and you have a talking squirrel as a companion - what more could you want?! :) It's cute, fun, and good value for money. I can't recommend this game enough!

Loved the writing and all the lovely illustrations. Terrific, fun story. Some might believe this is for just younger folks/kids but as an adult, I think its a good time to be had by all.

This is such a quaint little visual novel. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous, and all the characters are colourful and expressive. The game has such a comforting tone that it actually makes you feel like you're at summer camp and having a fun time. The charming music and artwork lend to these feelings greatly. There's also multiple paths to take throughout so there's many ways to beat the game. You can make best friends with certain people, or try to fill out a page book of merit badges and memorabilia. Speaking of the book, the game has excellent presentation as well. The use of 3D for the book menu was very nice and the sound design really lends to the atmosphere. It's easy to let your imagination get absorbed into the story with how well this game is laid out and constructed. The only gripe I have with the game is that the dialogue can get a little too twee sometimes. You'll have to play the game to see what I mean. Also admittedly the final "battle" of the game shall we...
