Can't even get past the tutorial level because you're supposed to be picked up in a helicopter by an ally that never shows up. They just sit there hovering, waiting for you to "finish off the security forces" when there are none left. No amount of restarts fixes this

If you are getting into Just Cause series, this is where you should start. The graphics still hold, kinda. But the explosions look great. The story is somewhat serious. And it's map feels bigger than other JC games. A lot of vehicle variety. If you are the type of person who likes to get 100% completion in-game, then this will be your nightmare.

Still playable, but not without bugs. I recommend disabling bullet marks to avoid frequent crashes, otherwise, it's better to start the franchise with Just Cause 3

Quite janky, which i would overlook considering the game's age, were it not for the consistent crashing.

Bought the game for nostalgias sake it was great then it's great now. I personally prefer this version of rico over the one in JC3 and 4. he was more stoic and serious in 2 but they made him a goofball in the latest games. Just Cause 2 is a vast playground for people who like to blow stuff up freely. it's far cry on steroids.

Fun game where you can just switch your brain off and cause chaos. Love Panau as the main setting of the game. The developer did a great job in making the setting immersive as if you are in South East Asia.

JC2 is a very nostalgic game for me. When it released in early 2010, I had finally found my footing after changing course of studies and moving to different city all alone. It think even back then, demos were not terribly common anymore – but this game had one, and I played the heck out of it. Destroying chaos items was just so much fun – after replaying the demo multiple times I knew I had to get this game. Two weeks later I went to the local store on release day and then proceeded to no-life the game to completion on my PS3. Well, except for the darn [i]Vanderbildt LeisureLiner[/i] that wouldn't spawn before they later patched it. The game was, somewhat literally, a blast.
