This point&click adventure is extremely hard in terms of brain puzzles, probably the hardest one I ever played. When I say hard, I mean like reading 15 pages of notes to decipher the riddle, figure out the color for like 25 ingredients, then mix the colors in your mind to label several jars. I have seen this type of puzzle before, but it was maybe 5 times smaller in terms of variables, plus there are other puzzles of similar difficulty. That is assuming that you have the patience to read the walls of text over and over, although I like the art and the writing behind them. I am not necessarily saying it's a bad thing to have a challenging puzzle, but I don’t want them to be so hard that I have to deduct the solution on paper. Unless you don't mind using a walkthrough (which I do cuz I am stubborn), be prepared for some head scratching... It could use a skip option. Beyond the Sky so far strikes me as a very unique and unorthodox adventure game. Let me explain. You know how i...

Suddenly the eager adventure player noticed an unusual game which immediately aroused his interest. Stylistically, Beyond the Sky has some similarities to another excellent game, The Edgelands. It's a journey through a strange reality, narrated in the third person, and the game does a great job at creating the right atmosphere. The stylized graphics are quite expressive, using different angles, close-ups and skip-frame animations. There are elements of different styles: sometimes a more pastel look, sometimes a more computer-generated look. There are some subtly amusing details as well (the illustrations to the myths). The background music and sound are also very expressive. The game has inventory items and interactions with NPCs, but the emphasis is on logic puzzles. The puzzles are large and elaborate, but not very difficult. Figuring out what needs to be done and actually carrying out the task are equally enjoyable. All the necessary information is given in the in-game jour...
BRAVO! Wow, I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I just finished it and started to tear up at the end. The story, art, music and puzzles work marvelously together. I am so impressed by how well thought out the entire game was. The puzzles were logical and challenging. I loved that I had to write things down with a pen and paper and really use my brain! Thank you for this breath of fresh air, please make more games like this!!!
Whoever decided to put a giant blinking circle on a dark adventure game needs to reassess their career choices. It can't be turned off. It can't be made to hide until a key is pressed or the mouse moves to the top right corner. IT. JUST. BLINKS. UNTIL. YOU. GIVE. IT. ATTENTION. It's like a flashlight in a dark room Sorry, but I'd rather play a game that lets me focus on the scene and the story and exploration instead of one trying to distract me from the scene over and over and over again
To sum it up our protagonist Selene is on a mission to the moon. The moon tells Selene to avoid a wolf but does not explain to her what a wolf is so poor dense Selene immediately makes mistakes. Selene walks slow as hell. She is not in a hurry to fulfill her dreams that is for sure. I liked this game, but these puzzles were harder than sin. If you are up for a challenge, or love walkthroughs this is the perfect point and click for you. Unlike others in the genre just clicking randomly will not grant you a win. The art style is pretty cute. Selene has eyelashes for days, color me jealous. Do not make the mistake I did and make sure you learn how to sing to plants early on from the old lady because I totally missed that achievement and I am debating weather or not I want to retry with Selene's slow attitude. Lastly, Selene needs the fear of God put into her that wolf was right she straight up rides a griffin side saddle up in the air, girl, there is fearless and there is foolish.
A very underrated game and I'm surprised it's not more popular. The story is cheesy at times, but it's still captivating. The puzzles are unique, although sometimes so much so you are lost, and one will even take about 30 minutes to complete. The visual style is also charming. It's a great game to spend about five hours with if you're a fan of the genre. You'll need to play it twice to get all achievements, though.
A gentle puzzle game with some interesting storytelling, some intriguing puzzles and no handholding. The morale of the story being learn to observe using your hearing, touch and voice to overcome fears and decipher the way forward once fear has been conquered. The art style is akin to a young child's drawings and the music suits the theme of the game. Took me about 5-6 hours to complete.
when you feel lost and death just wanted to play a game of chess</3 a medium difficulty point and click puzzle game. this game will definitely make you think but the relaxing atmosphere will ease the headaches lol. the game is pretty simple and easy to follow along with the tasks given, it begins to get more challenging after the chess area. (just follow a walk through if you get stuck imo) i love the art style, sounds (very asmr), story line and will definitely take outfit inspo from selene. this is a game i wish i could have played in my childhood. <3
I have now tried twice to play this game and enjoy it but I just cannot. The tasks are tedious, and game play monotonous. Not enjoyable for me. The puzzles are ridiculously time consuming and I feel they were put in deliberately to give the game some length ( and I have quit without finishing once again)
I just finished my first playthrough, so I don't know about the alternate playmode. I really liked the game even though the art style threw me off for a moment (I am not a fan of the hearts-for-lips look but I LOVE the color pallet of the game). I found the puzzles to be challenging but not too challenging. They were challenging enough to feel very satisfying upon getting everything done.
