It doesn’t come together and it’s just not fun. When you’re spending much of a game shooting, the guns need to feel good. And what things go into the feel of using a gun in a game? Firing animation, firing sound, hit sound, how the enemy responds to being hit in terms of animation, changes to the appearance of the target in response to being hit, like losing chunks of armour or flesh, death animation and death sounds. For the most part these aspects in Deathwing feel flat, dull and lack physicality. I’m supposed to be wielding some of the most extreme hand held weapons of the imperium of the 41st millenium to lay waste to the enemies of mankind. While threshing down tyranids with these blessed weapons I should be having an absolute blast. Instead it feels almost like a chore. The same thing applies to the melee weapons and psyker powers. most fun singleplayer shooter ive played, sad to see it averages 100/200 players. if youre on steam deck, just press auto config i the options to make the game full screen, an play on medium for consitent 60fps, on high for 40fps.

Go there, stand there for 5 minutes, shooting the same xeno for 500 times. I don't tell you where you need to go, just find the hidden room yourself. Found it? Cool Guard there for 5 minutes, ends. Repeats.

Not worth our time in 2025. Try Warhammer 4K Space Marine 2 instead.

Its a pretty decent game. Would def recommend in you are a 40K fan. Runs perfect for me, no bugs or crashes. Atmosphere is interesting, graphics are good. Gamplay is enjoyable although a bit lacking compared to higher budget games like darktide. Cons would be ranged weapons dont have the weight and sound to really make them seem powerful and the maps can get a little tedious due to the maze like layout. Overall its enjoyable and an easy buy on sale.
