Wah, wah... its too hard :( Do you like to encounter mini-boss after mini-boss, each one making you beat your head against the wall, sometimes for hours, only to quickly move on to the next? If yes, Sekiro is for you. Do you loooooove that dopamine hit you get when (if!) you finally beat... whoever? if yes, Sekiro is for you. Do you like chill, laid-back, relaxing games? If yes, Sekiro is NOT for you :( Seriously, this is a 100/10 game. Very difficult, but once you (sorta begin...) to get the hang of it, youll love it! If you like FROMSOFTWARE games, that is....

After 70 hours of playtime, I have just rolled credits on this game with every boss and mini-boss defeated. I've bounced off every single Souls game, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring. There was always something not quite right about the controls and the flow of combat. Everything felt a little too slippery, a little too spongey, and not quite as reactive as I would like. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice suffers from none of these flaws. The player character feels amazing to control, and the combat is so tuned, and so reactive that I suspect it will difficult for me to enjoy another action game for quite a while. Something I see frequently in the discussion surrounding this game is that you can't level up, and there isn't any loot that makes you more powerful. This simply is not true, and I'm not sure why it comes up so often. There are multiple skill trees. You can increase your vitality, posture, and attack power. There are a ton different secondary weapons—some of them with very powerful ef...

The true pinnacle of all games. A masterclass in intention. Still mad that Dark Souls and ER are considered good games when this exists. Legitimately breaks the scales and nothing can compare. 100/1

This might be the best game ever made. Only blemish is that awful ape duo fight.

Like any FromSoft game, Sekiro takes aspects of past games and adapt them to fit the whole Japanese setting. It is clear what they did to the way the map is interconnected... it screams Dark Souls 1 and it works so well. It really hits the same way when you find a crazy shortcut and dives into exploration. Few places in other FromSoft games are comparable to the stunning visuals seen here. For those games you need to think and pick specific places that you think are pretty, whereas this game is always pretty. FromSoftware LOVES snow levels, as seen in Painted World of Ariamis (DS1), Frozen Eleum Loyce (DS2), Cainhurst (BB) and Ashes of Ariendel (DS3). All of them greatly contributed to what we get to see here, which also helped shape what we later see on Consecrated Snowfield (ER). Shoutout to Demon's Souls' cut content-snow level Northern Limit! . You get the idea. Lots of inspirations thrown everywhere. The Demon Bell is literally the Company of Champions covenant f...

Sekiro is one of my favorite Souls-like games. It plays a bit differently than Dark Souls or Elden Ring, but you can still clearly feel the quality we’ve come to expect from FromSoft. I can only recommend it to everyone. While the slightly different gameplay may feel unusual for Dark Souls fans at first, once it “clicks,” you simply can’t put it down. It’s no coincidence that the game became Game of the Year.
Achievements
Required time: 35-50 hours Difficulty (in my opinion): 8 out of 10 DLCs required for 100%?: No As for the achievements, the biggest challenge is probably getting all the endings. You’ll need almost three full playthroughs – or even four, depending on how you approach it. There’s a lot to keep in mind, and it can be somewhat convoluted at times. For that, I once again recommend the excellent guides by Cynic 0055. Beyond that, all tools need to be fully upgraded and every skill acquired, so I’d also suggest using a guide...

Sword fighting is unmatched. It was pure fun except for the camera. It is not as difficult as I heard before starting it. There's also stupid boss arenas but other than that it's perfectly balanced.

Beautifully made graphics, carefully designed surroundings and NPCs paired with the most satisfying gameplay, if you manage to get it right. A very challenging masterpiece of a game. I love it <3

Sekiro: Shadows Die (more than) Twice Welcome to Sekiro, where you're not just a shinobi you're a one-armed legend with more parries than your average fencing tournament. you start the game thinking you're a silent, deadly warrior of the shadows. Ten minutes later, you're screaming at a giant rooster. Combat? it's not hack-n-slash. It’s rhythm-based sword ballet of death. Parry like your life depends on it because it absolutely does. Miss one block? Boom Back to the Sculptor’s Idol with your dignity shattered and your posture gauge in ruins. Then there's the bosses each one more terrifying than your CA Intermediate exams. Demon of Hatred? More like Demon of Existential Crisis. Isshin, the Sword Saint? He doesn’t fight you he teaches you pain in three parts. By the time you're done, you've transcended. You're not just a ninja. You're a shinobi warrior monk god of parries and PTSD. 10/10 would die to a random sword guy again.
