Easy to compare to other creature collector games like Pokemon, but so much better. Far deeper and more complex combat, a more immersive world with good platforming and lots of secrets. So many possible monster build combinations. This is an excellent game.

Incredible game, one of my favorite creature collector games I've played. Fun longer fights, many build types, puzzles, creatures, very in-depth story as well as cute art style. You can tell this game was made with love. Gets pretty challenging towards the end but I like a good challenge. Can't wait for their next game!
Pokeman if she good
yes
Loved the combat system but every other aspect was around "acceptable" or "mediocre" pretty much. You definitely can beat the entire game doing almost the same thing every battle.

A perfect blend of metroidvania sidescrolling map format and the monster taming/collection genre. The map isnt overly complicated and the meta progression is well paced and doesnt obligate you to go crawling through earlier levels for secrets you missed. If you are a fan of pokemon style turn based battle games but always wanted a little more depth and customization to the gammeplay, welcome home. Every monster in the game is completely viable, and occupy fairly distinct roles within the game. Many different team building strategies are effective and the game is extremely generous in giving you resources to try lots of different monsters. There is plenty of story to enjoy as well as even some post-game challenges for players to engage with and flex your skills against. The added depth to the game makes the post game content amazing, as I always found myself dying for more stuff to do with my pokemon once the challenge of the elite 4 was done. The pixel art and spritework is some o...
A monster-catching game, similar to similar games, but with 3v3 battles, it's very engaging in strategizing and team composition for monster battles, and offers some pretty good world exploration.
2D Creature Collector in the vein of Pokemon.
