Gameplay This game plays like an upgraded version of a game called spacecom which you can get from steam by the way. For those who have never played either of these games it is an extremely light empire management game with almost no micro-management where you build your ships via construction yards on the planets that you own. You have 3 options of things to build on planets - acadamies, spaceyards, and mining stations all of which are upgradable. The more you upgrade the shipyard the higher class of ship you can build. The more you upgrade the mining sections the more ore your empire will p;roduce which is the material for building ships. Thats it - That is the whole game in a nutshell. compatibility The game is completely compatible with windows 7 and windows 10. ship designer (feb 3,2019) currently this part of the game is a work in progress. conclusion If you like an extremely simplistic/casual empire building games that have no micro-man...

(Follow my curator for more reviews like this) Fleet Star V (strange choice of title as I don't think 1-4 exist) is a strategy game that combines a turn-based galaxy map with real time battles. Think Total War in space. It's somewhat janky, which is to be expected for a one-man indie game sold for 1,59€, but it's a solid game with cool mechanics. The grand strategy part is pretty simple: there is no diplomacy, and each solar system has a limited amount of build slots where you can construct either mines to generate profit, academies to recruit crew, or shipyards to build ships. The goal is to conquer all solar systems on the map. The real meat of the game are its battles. Ships have different weapon slots, and ships take locational damage. If you keep hitting a weapon, it will lose hull integrity until it's no longer functional. Hits can also cause damage to crew members, wounding or even killing...

I can't believe how little you pay for what you get. It's a steal. You can make decision's yourself or automate. I like making the decision's myself. Get it!

One of those game you with there was a neutral recommendation for... it's a neat idea and not badly implemented. However, it has the look and feel of a game I should have played 10 years ago. Interfaces are butt ugly and obscurely laid out and as for the ship designer; it's shockingly bad... All that said, combat is very intuitive, star map feels balanced and general mechanics seem sound. With some input from a UX/UI developer and a graphic artist this could have been a truly great game. Recommended but wait till it's on sale.
