DO NOT BUY! All you are buying is the basic tutorial. This game has no content. The world is a flat landscape with three resources on it. This is NOT early access to a game. This is access to an idea of a game that may be. I have purchased a LOT of games on Steam, and I have been dissatisfied with some of them over the years, but I have never requested a refund. For the first time, I went through the process of requesting a refund, because selling this game is fraud. As an attorney in real life, I do not use the term fraud flippantly. There is no game here, and you should not pay for it. It is a shame, because the concept is a good one. If the developer wanted "feedback on an early game," they should have developed more of an early game for feedback. This is quick coding to grab quick money.

My father was a witch hunter. He used to save people from the undead. But then they came - giant monsters which couldn't be defeated in a fair fight. My father lost heart and abandoned his occupation. With help of ancient mechanisms buried deeply under our castle, we managed to make it move. Since then we've been always running to survive.
We are traveling the world in search of resources and running away from monsters that are chasing us. To make a long stop means to die.
The other day one creature caught up with us and ruined the castle. My father died... Now only one hut is left from all we used to have. While my father was alive I would follow his order and we were always running. But now when he's dead, I'm going to find the people who survived, gather an army, and give these monsters a real fight!

Do not even consider buying it. It's stillborn.
Elden ring is a very new and innovative take on the soulsborne franchise. With all new enemies, locations, and weapons, it is truly a masterful take in the series. My only gripe with this game is the difficulty. The enemies are very underwhelming, and tend to die relatively quickly, but aside from that it is truly a masterpiece. The game even includes a small homage to the older castlevania games, with the moving castle. My final review of this game is a 10/10, a truly amazing take on the castlevania franchise.
