About This Game

Have you ever invented your own worlds? Perhaps you managed to think out one of them so well that you literally immersed in it? Sometimes, when the soul is badly bad, you just want to take it and find yourself in a fantasy world where everything is fine, but there are no problems. But ... But suppose that in this world, you have terrible consequences for him, carrying a part of your problems into your own fragile world.
And now, now your world is bursting at the seams because of you, and you are simply stuck in it.
The game is a three-dimensional platformer-puzzle with elements of horror and parkour. The visual part of the game is made in the style of geometric surrealism.

EXIST is a puzzle-platformer that tries to create some psychological narrative. Every 3 levels or so you will get more story by playing in weird dreams. For me, the surreal storytelling was the highlight of the experience. Within the context of $1, it is a good game but you get what you pay for. I don't dislike the concept of Exist. The game just lacks polish in almost every aspect. When it comes to cheap games I just look for good fundamentals. It may not be a great game but this developer shows a basic understanding of what makes a decent "walking simulator". My biggest problem with the game is the brightness. There does not seem to be any video settings. Most of the light sources just blind the hell out of me. Not to mention all of those film grain effects that make the game blurry. I actually like most of the level design so it would be nice if I could see well. Exist has some surreal looking themes that play around with your perception (which is by far my favorite part...

Don't buy. Tons of reports of broken levels. I am currently stuck on a broken level mentioned here https://steamcommunity.com/app/804130/discussions/0/2828702373002090570/. I attempted to contact the dev, but have gotten no response in over a week. Easy pass even though it's a dollar.

A puzzle/parkour game, visual appearance is simple but still beautiful. Game Performance: Great Story: not that relevant Visual: Great Sound: it's ok Bugs: Sometimes you fall because you stucked within an object. The price is absolutely fair. Recommended for everyone who needs a relaxed game.

A short game focused heavily on storyline mixed in with interactive puzzles. Pros - The game looks stunning for the most part (Add a brightness control) - I found no performance issues - Great soundtrack. Some issues - Movement is pretty poor, the parkour throughout the game felt like it shouldn't be there with the current movement system. The jumps felt kind of broken, half the time my jumps never activated on the parkour. - The storyline is fine but doesn't link back to the puzzles. In my experience the puzzles never related back to the actual storyline, they felt like two separate entities jammed together. - The game introduced elements (moving platforms etc.) but never brought them back again. I would have loved to see a more diverse range of puzzles elements throughout the game instead of focusing on one element. Notes This is a simple game, for the most part, players won't have an issue figuring out the puzzles. The trailer seems a bit misleading, the trailer is fast paced wit...

In march of 2018 I made a review saying how broken this game was, after nine months the game has finally been fixed. Nine. Months. While this is a decent game for the its price, I wouldn't recommend; the developer/s don't answer questions asked, don't respond to meesages and overall the game is very, very confusing. It has no story, and teaches you very little about how to play and to top that off the movement feels very broken, pressing shift sends you flying acroos the levels and walking makes you acclerate over jumps making the game very hard to play. Overall don't get this game, save your money for a CS:GO skin or a better game.

Short and somewhat buggy stylistic puzzle platformer (but despite what other reviews say, it is possible to finish). I paid just 28 cents and got a solid 90 minutes of fun. Can't beat that, though it's frustrating to the max that this game is so unpolished, as it could have been much more than it is. Any aspiring game developer could learn a huge amount from playing it for an hour, both in terms of what to do, and not do. What it gets right: (1) who needs fancy geometry or assets? 90% of what's in this game are colored cubes. And yet it looks fantastic, in a minimalistic kind of way. Part of that is that Unreal's rendering engine is used overtime for adding effects to the simple geometry. Go for something stylistic and spend a little time tweaking the rending settings and you can do very well for yourself. (2) don't spoon feed the player tons of text. Make them figure out the game, but give enough carefully thought out examples that it's not just guesswork. Most of the puzzles a...
