I love this game. Super easy to pick up and play for any skill level, and tons of fun if you grab a few friends to play with! Visuals: 8/10 (classic style that takes me back to the hockey arcade games of old times) Sound: 6/10 (could possibly use some stingers or something like that when you score a goal) Gameplay: 10/10 (simple controls that make it fun and easy for anyone to pick up) Multiplayer: 10/10 (smooth as butter and simple player-hosted servers make for easy pick up games with friends) Depth: 9/10 (the addition of a season mode has added tons of depth and the customization is a ton of fun to mess around with) All in all, I recommend this game to anyone looking for a casual hockey game to play with friends, or alone, and definitely appreciate the work put in by the single dev.

Get puck, immediately lose puck because your AI partner took it and you were controlling another guy at the time and now the input you were giving for your first guy transfers into the guy that took the puck, and you wind up just going straight into a check and fall down and lose possession. And for some reason you always seem to lose the puck from one hit and the other team takes two or more to lose possession. You cant really set up passes because your field of view is too close to your player when you DO have the puck...meaning if you want to do a cross ice pass for a one-timer, its pretty much always a blind pass and always seems to get intercepted. And I dont recall ever winning a faceoff as they seem to automatically happen no matter the button I press or the timing, it ALWAYS goes their way. This game is beyond frustrating with all of that above stated.

Tried to play a game to test it out after seeing the positive reviews. Found it way more frustrating than I expected. You lose the puck if you get hit once, but the other team can take multiple hits before they'll lose it, and it almost always ends up right back in their possession anyway. Faceoffs are impossible, I don't know what it expects you to do on them because it doesn't give any direction on that and it just immediately shoots back to the AI every time no matter what I press. I couldn't really aim my shots because if I tried to, it'd just go flying off target entirely, but if I don't aim it, it just gets blocked or it's right at the goalie. And your teammates don't seem to do much to help either. Notably I do not have friends to play with, as nobody I know cares for sports games, so I can't check it out for multiplayer. And if it's going to be this frustrating playing against the computer on normal difficulty, I can't see myself coming back to it. I loved Blades of Steel and ...

Has potential but the AI barely touches you and you lose the puck. Literally get hit once and you lose the puck and you hit them a couple times before you get the puck back. The checking lunges reach too far, and makes it so movement is pretty difficult. AI teammates regularly in your way and don't help do anything until you change players. The shooting is way too sensitive as well.

If you like classic hockey games like Blades of Steel or Ice Hockey, I recommend this game. If you've got a group of friends who will get teams together to play, I highly highly recommend this game. Multiplayer is a blast.

Played the game for a couple hours so far, really like it. Sort of a throw back to the old console hockey games. Runs smooth, Haven't tried multiplayer yet but I think that could be fun. Def a game ill be jumping on here and there. I don't have a Controller to play with so I've been using the keyboard and well i'm sure it is better with a controller I've managed to play with the keyboard with no issues.

The gameplay is pretty good and it has super-wide monitor support. The graphics are nice as well. The one recommendation I would give the devs is to add some music and additional sound effects/crowd noises during gameplay which would enhance the immersion of the game a lot. The lack of some additional sound/audio tracks holds this game back more than it should. But... the lack of hockey games on steam leaves this as one of the few with decent potential. July 2021 update: I mentioned the audio suggestion to the devs, and what do you know some audio enhancements are part of the v2.0 update. :)

Funner and more challenging than the other pixel based hockey 8 bit game on here. Recommend it!

I've played a lot of this game with friends. It's fantastic for some local couch coop play, as well as online. It's got a simple control scheme that allows you to pick up the basics quickly, but leads to some great game play!
