About the Game

While exploring incredible AOSYS game environment with his glasses, Mark doesn't know that technology department in the other site have noticed their visitor from another dimension and they try to do their best to track the player and get their glasses back... with a help of army...

Full version of the Voltage: Episode 1 includes 8 huge Sublevels:
Sublevel 1: Tutorial Zone
This is optional on the game menu. We found out that some players were unfamiliar about box pushing and using switches, so on this optional level you learn the game logic. On the Tutorial Zone, you can practice many important skills and get to know to the game. Remember that you can always ask help from the Steam Community Hub.
Sublevel 2: Warm-up
A little warm-up before you start...
Sublevel 3: Hometown
Actual game starts at your hometown, and your mission is to find Amiga 500 computer inside the house and start your adventure in AOSYS... After you have found computer, your journey in AOSYS starts. We noticed that many player was interesting to explore hometown on the first version, so now this level is even more bigger, including many houses and surprises.
Sublevel X: Dark Side
Voltage Dark Side is mystic environment. Voltage has it's sunny side and Dark Side is place where AOSYS system spawns the "dead" characters, in order to Voltage run smoothly. When player enters to the Voltage he will be accidently spawned to this environment and mission is to find way out...
Sublevel 4: Star Qruiser
First mission is called 'Escape from the Star Cruiser': You are in a Star Cruiser. Seems that something has gone badly wrong and it's full of enemies (we don't reveal what kind of...). This level gives you about a 100-130 min gameplay. The game proceeds almost straightforwardly (spaceship is quite big) when you explore different parts of Star Cruiser and you desperate to escape... Boldly explore the Star Cruiser, who knows if you might even be able to find dinosaurs on their development section...
Sublevel 5: Terraria
In this sublevel you explore the space ship Terraria. Terraria is a place, which is used to harvest food to space ship crew. Terraria is also used to farm some extraordinally special animals, such as Dinosaurs. Be carefully not to release them from their cages...
Sublevel 6: Into the Desert
You have escaped from the Star Cruiser by using emergency shuttle. Unfortunately an error occurs and you find yourself from a burning hot desert. Try to find familiar town, or some vehicle to escape...
Sublevel 7: BunkerWay
You discovered way to the Bunker on previous level. This is the only "safe" way to the Voltage Town (Episode 2). Explore large sections on the bunker and find your way...
Goal is to include VoltageDinoLand, City of Voltage and Town of Voltage to the Episode 2.

rawWwRrr's raTiNg: 🟥 ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ = 🛑 Nope. Mechanics are off. Can't turn the music off. Very unsatisfying. Takes forever to load a level. Weird launcher. Got the strange sensation that I was playing an asset flip title by the physics. I'll turn a blind eye to less than AAA graphics any day of the week, but at least back it up with decent gameplay. But besides that, not sure where those screenshots on the store page are from either. My HEDT with twin 1080tis should be able to piece together something close to the screenshots without spinning up a single fan and didn't see it. Maybe I'm being too critical of an indie title, but I've seen far better and willing to pay a lot more. Perhaps it needs more development time. But until then, just hold off. -- rawWwRrr
Had to submit for a refund. This is the second game on Steam I've ever bought that flat out wouldn't work. I could get to the weird launcher screen...but clicking on the tutorial opened a different window that seemed to be a loading window for the tutorial...that never loaded. On a side note...why does this game need more disk space than Civilization VI? This game is 12.12 GB in size!? Seems weird to me.
*update 3* Please keep in mind that I will not test this game for a while as of now.(since all my save games got corrupted) I would like to however point out that the dev(s) of this game are still working on improving and trying to fix the present problems in the game. Now for me the big problem is the engine, I have played so many of these FPSC/gameguru games by now I have gotten used to the crashes/long loading times and other issues. The devs of this game are clearly pretty inexperienced, but are doing their best with the available tools. I would really like to give a neutral stance on this game. But I would still like to say, buy at your own risk. There may be crashes, maybe even corrupted saves. But I am sure the devs are dedicated to improve on their work. For me it's the neutral button for now ...
The development of Voltage seems to evolve in small steps. Loading times must be improved further! Beside that Voltage Super Retro offers an unique visual style, which gives a very nostalgic appeal exploring the vast level segments. The FOV is freely adjustable. Developers, please take care of this project! Thank you!
(sigh, I must update this review, if the game is ever patched to where it will run stable, and not crash constantly, this would be one of my favorite Indies... But it just keeps crashing at launch and other types of infuriating stability issues. These are the only issues with the game, so I still partly agree that those trashing this game for reasons other than stability, are jerks, but if you are trashing it for stability, my bad.) Whoever is trashing this game is lazy, greedy, and foolish... Yes, it was made in GameGuru/FPS Creator, which is a drag and drop kinda game maker... But, this game has so much love, heart, and passion, not to mention if you give the slow, tedious, and a little confusing opening level where you return home to be transported into the game world, you will find that the game like an old 80's cult low budget indie, has so much charm that it just oozes positive vibes and atmosphere. Is the game hard? No. Is it complex? No. Is it anything more than a very basic ...
