Synopsis:
You are Edan Vargas, a new member aboard Pegasus-5 Trade Ship. The ship is set to make a pretty standard trade route with only a small detour to sell a special rare item. However, before long after departure, the crew wakes up to discover that many of the ship’s systems have been compromised and they are lost in space, unable to establish exactly where they are and how far they’ve gone off the course. Who aboard is responsible for this and why?
As the new guy aboard, you’ll have to build trust with your crewmates and develop friendships with them, for their loyalty can be very invaluable in what you are going to face. You may even build romantic relationships with some of them!
The journey ahead will be a harrowing one. You will make stops in unfamiliar locations, tackle environmental hazards, and get hunted by organized gangs operating in space. Apart from your crewmates, you also have your unique talents to help you out, and you will need to decide which of those talents to specialise in if you are to get through this in one piece. Your choices will affect how your teammates feel about you, how certain events will develop, and even who survives at the end!
Good luck, brave adventurer, and godspeed, for you will need it!
6.9/10 - Exceeds expectations
I've always given manga-esque visual novels like Pegasus-5: Gone Astray a wide berth, because they invariably revolve around some creepy dating sim. But something about this game struck me, and eventually my gut instinct won out over my better judgment, leading me to buy the game. I'm relieved to say, my instinct was right: Pegasus-5 is not bad! It is a very simplistic RPG-visual novel, with pretty two-dimensional characters that you somehow still end up caring a bit about, a somewhat cheesy and very minimalistic plot that is nonetheless rather engaging, and, most importantly, where your decisions actually matter! The dating sim is certainly present, but it is neither creepy nor required, and the game does not revolve around romance, so it does not detract from the story. The achievements provide some replay value, as do the different endings, which also serve to set up a potential sequel. And you know what? I want a sequel! Preferably one with...
Another interesting little game with a lot of stuff to discover. Maybe I immagine too much, but I realy felt like in space. I just wonder what's about the development's points. At first part of the game it's really important to get a specific points for the needed result, while on the other half, when you get a lot of them you can make the same action by two different ways so you dont need them anymore, I guess it's not pretty fair
for example if I had enough strength I should save both of my friends, instead of that I should choose between them
I guess it's too more important than when you have to choose how to kill your enemie. I wish the developer all the best and a lot of inspiration ahead)))
Oh my! Had so much fun with it. Err please remember that the medic room is not in the room you are first invited; that door seems to be always opened up to Edan so if you receive the keycard for the Medic, it is the second top on the right above Edan's. (port I think?) One sentence came to my mind commenting to the creator; I really like the config of this ship. You could make a square feel sexy in space. XD So the spaceship do not look like a square but as Matseb2611 assumed after it; "Pegasus-5 - Making a square feel sexy in space since 2018." Classical RPG game but no old SNES fighting. You have to use your head and stats points a lot it is a CoC .

If you're familiar with Snares of Ruin and enjoyed it, I can say the formula of this game is pretty much the same. It is essentially Snares with less ambition and less scope and lasts just enough not to get you bored. The dev needs the means to make a sequel of Snares of Ruins, so if you like these games I'd say you should support him. They are pretty cheap anyway, and ridiculously cheap during a sale. If you've just stumbled upon the game by surprise and have no previous experience with White Shadow's games, I can say it's a story rich game where your choices matter, where there is replayability and several approaches to the same situation, where you'll grow attached to the characters, can date females and grow attached to them even more ;) Graphics are nothing much as RPG Makes is pretty much obsolete in 2018. But CGs and music are very well done and give the game necessary charm and atmosphere. There are also no grinding, RPG-style combat and everything else you'd expect from a M...
Pegasus-5, is a great game. I only bought it to help support the developer & speed up funding for part 3 of Snares of ruin, but after playing it I was very happy with my purchase. -Pros Great story arc. Many ways you can finish the game. Great Music never a dull moment, also love the color of the stars in the background. -Cons Only can think of two. First: a bit too short of a story I think my first play through was with all members in tow 3-4hrs Two: romance seams forced because you only spend so much time with each character, & it seams its Alelaira that gets most of that time even if you don't pursue her. 4/5 pick it up if you liked Snares of ruin.
This game has some minor bugs , last 4 hours and requires you to play through the game once to know a head of time what you need to save lives. Its not a bad game, so its a shame it is so short but its worth playing once or twice. I liked all the characters in the game, both the good and bad guys.
A good game with choices that matter. The game-play is similar to Snares of Ruin but with a SiFi element, so easy to get into without having to learn new controls, etc.
Pegasus-5 was a ton of fun! I initially got it to see the PV Games Sci-Fi tileset in action, and because it was on sale, and was quickly immersed in the world and played straight through. The skill and morale system was well thought out. For my playthrough I chose to be an Engineer, and there were lots of opportunities to use those skills, and plenty of situations where having lower levels in other skills proved a challenge, so the balance was great. You're provided with ample choices about how to overcome obstacles, it never feels like you're locked into a specific path. I also enjoyed the music and sound effects, and some of the cutscenes were a hoot. The maps are quality and the puzzles are suitably challenging. The story is engaging and the characters have plenty of depth to carry it. The option to romance the various ladies on the crew spiced things up. This is a solid game worth playing, I was sorry to see it end!
