Constructive criticism of this game is censored. I have personally sat and watched entire threads vanish for making feature requests. The devs released a few poorly designed maps as "free DLC," which completely broke the difficulty curve they had going. As a result, it'll be almost impossible for anyone to 100% this game. This was brought up calmly and civilly on the forums . Instead of taking this constructive criticism seriously, a dev came in, said "Get gud" and left. When it was pointed out how inappropriate that was, he got mad and went on a banning spree. The sad truth is that this is abandonware. They will never fix the troop count bug, nor will they include modern features like key remapping, nor will they fix the steam achievement bugs they have, nor will they rebalance the "DLC" so that normal difficulty feels like normal again. You bring these things up, dismissed by a bully, point out how bad that behaviour is, you're banned. And, i'll reiterate, all those threads in the...

Buggos Game Review Rating: 2/5 Stars The Good The core gameplay loop is genuinely fun and engaging when it works properly. The Bad Unfortunately, this game is plagued by persistent technical issues that severely impact the experience: - Game-breaking bugs: Multiple crashes and performance problems that prevent completion - Poor optimization: Significant stuttering that worsens over time - No developer support: These critical issues remain unaddressed with no fixes in sight My Experience I encountered major stability problems around 4 hours into the game - well past the refund window. The stuttering and crashes made the game essentially unplayable, which is unacceptable for a paid product. Developer Concerns The development team is already moving on to create "Buggos 2" rather than fixing the current game's fundamental problems. Based on their track record and unprofessional response to community feedback, I have serious doubts about the sequel's quality and their commitment to su...
Really scratched the itch to play a RTS but without being to complex or difficult. Very fun and has a lot of levels for the price.
Yeah look. It's a cool little game. Kinda fun, but very broken, I can't really recommend it, especially at the price, even on sale. Mayyyybe if it cost like $2. Not polished, pretty damn buggy(heh), and the balance isn't great. A whole lot of the upgrades are just completely useless? Like what does one extra hp or armor do for buggos when all attacks deal like 40+ damage?? I found that the only way to survive the higher difficulties was to use an all building strategy, but even that doesn't work on the DLC. Which will never get fixed, judging by the way they just remove criticism. I want to support indie devs, but I don't think I'll be buying any future game from this dev purely due to that.
This would have been a positive review however the DLC is entirely too hard and unfair. Rocket launcher troops have no counter. Sorry, balance the DLC. The first half of the game is great and fun. BUT you added impossible DLC and I don't have time to "Get Good" Just going to warn others and move on and Take Buggos 2 off the list.
Fun goofy little RTS! If you like the RTS gameplay loop, but also want a fun pulpy turn the brain off and just have a good time game, this is *perfect* for you. It's very cute, with a very simple core gameplay loop. It can be a bit overly simplistic if you're broadly a fan of strategy games, but that's more of a genre decision than a failing. And, even as a fan of the RTS genre myself, that can still help with my enjoyment, as the ease makes it *perfect* for when I just need something to do with my hands on a long work-related phone call or the like. Now, not having an active pause *is* a bit of a misstep for something aiming to be this casual, but overall it does a great job at being what it is
Was fun until the endgame, which sucks because the enemy just builds infinite robots which instantly rebuild their buildings and it just becomes a slog. Otherwise it was a fine RTS (which it really isn't, it's more of a puzzle game), but didn't do anything really special either so I can't really recommend because it is boring just waiting for your bottlenecked resources while your enemy has infinite no matter how much of their stuff you destroy.
Loved playing the game gave me much satisfaction after I got the hang of it. I did have to restart once after like maybe 30 minutes of gameplay and then by the second time it wasn't very difficult to understand what needed to be changed. Highly recommend going flyers first and focusing on maximizing how many of your swarm you can have you'll be fine. Very fun game will be buying as a gift for others this coming holidays.
This is a really good game and has many levels, around 9 areas and features which i think makes the price suitable. Also recent reviews (as of me making this review) say that it is too hard, but i went through it with ease (on easy or standard cant remember) and faced no problems and also the reviews say it is unbalanced, which i think is inaccurate, everything is quite balanced in my opinion.
This was a fun game. Took 2 days to beat, so I got some time in. The task of setting up your bugs to win is fairly simple once you understand what you should be doing. The numerous evolution points you distribute makes it easier as well. I loved being the assault force. There were some missions that required a restart due to poor planning on my part, but it was fun and easy to beat. However, when you beat the main game the DLC automatically plays, and it is WAY harder. It took numerous restarts to beat, and was an enjoyable challenge. You kinda did what you wanted to win before, but now you have to maximize your bug army potential, using every bit of resource and spare ground to survive. Those missions took an average of 30 minutes to beat when I didn't fail. I'm glad I kept this on my list til a sale came up. It was a worthy play as I love strategy games.
