I know it's still in early access but the developers have a TON of work to do before this game is even playable. There is no tutorial and the controls are not what most gamers are used to making navigation difficult and overall gameplay nearly impossible to the point that just walking is a challenge. The concept is cool but we will not be playing anymore until there are some serious updates. Good luck if you try, I would recommend waiting some time while the game is actually developed. Start: I spend five min trying to puzzle out the keys to even load a map. Day 1: I find myself in a ship without oxygen in a failing Mars orbit that is looking like I better get off ASAP. I wonder around until I can find a non obvious door. Hey look a door. Now I am on the surface without my helmet on...... gasp ... gasp.. gasp.... holy smokes I may be hosed. Where is that helmet so i can breath. I am really starting to worry when I find it. On the bright side the lack of air animation is kinda cool. I just wish I hadnt lost half my health trying to figure out where the helmet was and then how to put it on (a tutorial or hint window would have rocked). Now that I have a helmet I am trying to figure out how to move. I realize that I must have suffered brain damage from the lack of air since the simple task of walking is almost impossible. I keep looking for the martian popo's to come and arrest me for walking under the influance. I do the world a favor and unload this game a...
Totally crappy controls, head bob that makes you feel sick, unable to keep the aim steady while mining or anything else. Dev says the head bob is realistic movement but it is WAY over exaggerated. Sorry but the game is just a pile of garbage that should be consigned to the bin. I wouldn't recommend this game to my worst enemy.
What a really bad attempt at game development. I am glad that Steam changed their policy (recently) on the EA games that they will allow in the future. I do not know where to begin, there is so much wrong with this money grab, I mean game. Just dont buy it.
This game shows alot of promise, as long as the developer(s) keep up with it, constently updated and fixed, so far there is something to do, i just want MORE!
Doing a good job devs keep up the good work
I only write reviews in extreme cases. Right now the controls and menus seem like a joke. Everything about the game seems to be designed to make it completely unbearable to play. For instance, when you are mining, the character is heaving as though he is drunk and about to pass out. Since the mining ray is attached to a backpack it is constantly moving up and down and it is very difficult to perform what is supposed to be a very basic and simple task. Some things should be simple and predictable. What the devs have done is like if you would design a car with the gear shift where the steering wheel goes, the steering wheel where the gear shift goes, and the gas pedal in the glove box. The major challenge in the game is finding the gas pedal.
Game looks interesting, only a small dev team so dont expect huge updates super fast, but its had over 70 updates and is still progressing, its an interesting take on the genre, I like it, so I give it a thumbs up.
GAME IS REALY IN EARLY STAGE no keybinds little help to start with
Early Access Review of In The Long Run The Game: This game needs work and please support the Dev(s). I know the game has bugs and needs updates, but I hope the Devs will fix this game. This could be a good game. When will the game leave early access so I can play it ?
