+ Big plus for left-hand mode + Satisfying gun mechanics + Fun gameplay + Might have replay value due to multiple possible strategies - Unfortunally you cannot have a gun in each hand to go full-Rambo - Turret icons look very similar it's a bit hard to understand which one is taking heavy damage

About This Game
The hundred years war was over, sentient machines that have threatened our very existence were finally defeated and spread across the outer rim with no means of interstellar travel. As centuries were passing by stories of war became tales, eventually even memories faded and nothing but echoes remained.
You play as a millitary officer, serving on a deep-space research vessel sent to explore the farthest reaches of the galaxy, that has been shot down near an uncharted planetoid. After miraculously surviving the crash and being stranded alone on an alien planet, occupied by an Artificial Intelligence race, thought to be extinct for centuries, your only chance for survival is to repair your ship before you are overun by merciless machines. Repel countless waves of enemies using a large arsenal of weapons and by building or upgrading turrets, while trying to send a distress signal back to Earth.
FEATURES:
- Dynamic gameplay
- Upgradable guns
- Blast deflecting energy sword
- Slow-motion for enhanced reflexes
- Six unique turrets with multiple upgrades
- Defend against hordes of mechs and swarms of drones

Tepid recommendation, only because the game is inexpensive. Repetitive gameplay, awkward ui, slow pace to ramp up difficulty. As wave shooters go, this is above average. Once the game gets going with multiple turrets and frantic 360 degree attacks it's pretty exciting. There just isn't much variety or depth of gameplay or any story to speak of. Hopefully the DEVs will add content over time.
Not bad for seven bucks
Worth a go, especially for the price.
Echoes of War is a wave shooter that adds a twist to the genre by mixing resource mangement and turret placement along with shooting and lightsaber defense. You find yourself crash landed on a planet full of hostile machines. You must spend your days defending yourself from the machine threat, and using the scrap from the fighting to upgrade your resources and repair your ship. PROS -Gunplay feels good, and you can even pick enemies off in the distance before they ever reach your base if you aim right. -Can deflect enemy shots using a lightsaber. -Resource management is intense. You will be strapped for scrap most of the early waves. -Turret placement is a fun challenge, have to balance between placing them to block shots on you, and placing them so they last long enough to help in a fight. -A surprising amount of upgrades for every turret and your own personal equipment. Ties into the resource management. -Six different kind of turrets to play with. -The game has a surpisingly nice...
Fun game hope they add alot more content to the game. Kinda like space pirates meet tower defense.
A nice simple shooter game. It does sometimes glitch but for less than $10, it is not bad at all. Would be nice if they would add updates or create a new shooter like this.
Way too buggy. 75% of the time you finish a wave, it freezes. The game crashes repeatedly. meaning expect about 3 - 4 restarts per hour. Also, slow to 10fps for chunks of time on my 3090 10900k system.
As far as wave shooter go, this game is really fun.
I have to admit that I like the idea of this game more than the game itself. It's a nice defense game with towers, but where you also get to play your part in the fight. The economic side makes you choose between either boosting your survivability or actually contributing to the goal. The graphics look good (except for a few glitches with the shading) and the enemies and turrets animations are quite nicely done. Overall, it looks good. The problem is that even if it's content is completed, it's definitely not polished. Even though I play strategy games (including tower defense) and I have some experience with VR shooters, I had to switch to casual because I was losing a lot. Worst part is, I didn't even see much of a difference. On a few occasions the game even failed to register that the wave has ended, forcing me to restart. Primary weapon's sniper mode seems pretty pointless - if I hold the gun close enough to my face to see anything in the visor, my controllers lose sync with th...
