It feels dated, but it's fine. It runs fine, though the music slider isn't great. I mostly left the music off since the lowest level was still rather loud comparatively. The story is a bit silly but int he way a lot of HOG are and that's not a bad thing. I appreciate the updated interface and more 'modern' hidden object scenes vs. Haunted Hotel 2. Oh yeah, you can see it in the thumbnail but this IS connected to two other games, even if the title doesn't let you know. If you're not sure at the $7US price wait for a sale and it'll be fine.
