This game is supposed to be a simulation of professional football. However, the game does not realistically simulate professional football. The game does have sliders and options for tweaking the performance and simulation results, but I've spent 8 hours of tweaking and I'm not even close, nor do I feel that further time would bear fruit. The AI simply doesn't manage it's salary cap in any reasonable fashion which gives the human player a ridiculous advantage. I was able to sign free agents with very high overall value (in one case a 100 rated SS) for the league minimum of $300k. (I should mention that I used the 'option' in the game of hard salary caps, which is what forced teams to vomit certain stars from their rosters - you know, like real football.) Now, I know that I can raise that minimum, but that's not relevant, as the AI teams should recognize they can sign that player for $300k also. In fact, they DO, because I saw one team had done the same thing with a 90 rated QB for 1 y...

The game is really fun. So far I haven't encountered any serious bugs or crashes. If you like numbers then this game is for you. It spits out so many stats each week and season, it's great. Plays fairly realstic to NFL football. It doesn't have everything, negotiating and signings could be a little more flushed out but they work. I have played some Front Office Football in the past and that game felt so souless. I couldn't get into it. This one is holding my attention so much better so far. The game also allows you to be as in depth or hands off as you want which is nice. You can sim entire seasons in minutes for numbers or to see how things play out. Or you can call every play, make your own playbooks, your own game plans, fill each depth chart for each position that fits into that plan. You can watch all the games, all the highlights, every week. Very nice how they do this. Sometimes I want to get into the nitty gritty and sometimes I want to just set my rosters and go. This is...

This game is awesome and it work just fine. I was looking for a Football simulation near the standard of OOTP, this game is heading in the right direction. It is easy to play MP in a league and people are willing to help. So far the develloppers keep updating the game regularly and they are really paying attention to the players community. Look like this game will have a great futur.

No No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. To use the AVGN quote "Now what's the most important aspect about any game? Well, being able to f**king play it!" You can't with this. There are parts missing, there are bugs. Let me explain to you my experience in just half an hour with this game Game purchased Game Downloaded Start Game. Click New Game Game Crashes Repeat last two steps 14 times till game decides it actually wants to be a game Start to create new leage Get told game can't find database. Game Crashes again Restart in rage Repeat the Click New Game/Game Chrashes steps another 16 times Get refund If you are a sadomasochist who gets off on not being able to play games you spent 30 bucks on because the developers don't know basic coding, this is the perfect game for you. For the rest of you who AREN'T that one guy. Avoid this like the plague.

Having played and loved the Football Manager series I was elated to find an NFL counterpart and was happy to pay the £25 in order to play it. However upon loading the game I instantly found it to be a dissappointment. The first problem I came across was how poorly designed the interface was. The appearance was very unprofessional with formatting errors everywhere. On the staff screen for instance the blank profile pictures were out of alignment with the text and covered the coaches details. Another example was the drop down boxes in the scouting screen covered the text for the projection filter and points remaining. The entire interface appeared either rushed or put together by someone who didn't take a lot of pride in their work. Another problem was how unintuative the game was to play. I had to create a practice save just in order to work out how the game actually worked and even after doing so still found the menus clunky and awkward which sapped all the fun out of the game. Th...

If I could do a neutral, I would. But even with less than four hours of playtime (second game of preseason, did manual draft & free agency), it's clear the amount of work the devs have put into this so TU it is. What's also clear is this is still REALLY glitchy. Things like even with coin toss I had to kick off both halfs, missing in-game stats every other play (that was interesting), skipping plays (it'll perform the play but just in a blip, with no player input, and suddenly you're on the next down). Also, did I miss the play clock somewhere in the play select screen? If it's not there, definitely need one! Hard to keep track of (work) the clock, particularily in crunch time. All of this was while playing Seattle Owls. But good concept devs, just needs the usual polishing.

It's a solid simulator to pass the time.
