What a complete waste of a really cool idea. Being the instigator of the zombie apocalypse as patient zero zombie is brilliant. The people you munch on become zombies themselves and you get a little zombie entourage who will attack living humans themselves. You also gain the ability a little ways in to possess a living person, so, for example, you can control a soldier with a gun to mow down other people with weapons so you can prevent getting surrounded by guns as Stubbs himself. There are some other abilities, like throwing organs as grenades, stun farts, and using your head as a bowling ball. They all require energy that refills whenever you eat a person, so you have to strategically use them. The core mechanics remind me vaguely of Oddworld: Abe's Oddyssey, with the possession and following crowds, but Stubbs is never as well-thought out as a game like Abe. It's a game with ideas thrown at the wall and shoved together in a panic. The first couple of levels are okay, It gives the...

Played it for the first time back when I was twelve. Glad I could relive those memories.
This zombie game is great ! You gotta play the stinky, vicious, but still sympatic zombie named "Stubb" and kill everyone standing in your way. Various special attack options are offered to you to cause chaos and defend yourself, just as farting to temporary stunt enemies, throw your exploding bladder, roll your severed head like a bowling bowl, and much more... But for me the most interesting and fun part in this game is that when you kill humans, they will tranform into zombies and join your evergrowing undead horde at your command (you can literally push them from behind to make them go in the direction you choose). If you are into zombie fandom but also like humor and want to try to be on the zombie side, this game is just for you.
i really liked it till i reached the point where i got locked out of progressing cuz i couldn't complete the danceing color section.
10/10 Playing this game back on the original Xbox I was fascinated by this game cause truth be told to this day there really isn't a game like this even in 2025, you are the one starting the zombie apocalypse in a retro-futuristic world akin to Fallout, you are eating the brains of humans one by one and slowly turning the city named Punchbowl into an infected masterpiece, accompanied by various abilities to help you along your journey, which may I add is very creative considering you're taking pieces of your own body and utilizing them as you see fit in your conquest to take over the city. There is a story and it's not a groundbreaking one but considering the games overall tone, the humor is silly yet fun and this is one of those games that I will play for many years to come because of how unique it is, any time I feel like starting a zombie apocalypse with endless replayability this is my go-to, objectively the most fun I've had with zombie games is Stubbs the Zombie and Left 4 De...
Never played a zombie before in a computer game and never expected it would be so much fun! The silly humor and the unique gameplay turns Stubbs The Zombie into a great game experience. Pity it's not a big game (played it completely through in 8 hours). An online multiplayer mode could be a fun idea as an addon.
This game was one of my favorites as a kid still holds up in my opinion.
Played it as a kid as loved this game. Don't get me wrong, its aged but its still loads of fun! The premise of the game has been lost with time but is very interesting. Worth a try!
Prime example showing good ideas don't always make a great game. Aesthetics/Concepts/Musics are good, but over all game feels kinda unpolished. There are so many parts where the game just hurls you right in the middle of nowhere, and it gets really annoying later when the enemies get automatic weapons or bazooka that one-shots you. The combat gets repetitive and annoying. And the vehicle controls, god, it really, really sucks. At first I kinda enjoyed it, but as I played it more I found the experience has gotten quite sour in the end. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have soft spots for old, classic games. Shame, because I feel like this game could've been one of the greats. But alas, I feel like this game didn't live up to its potential. And it will forever remain as a forgotten cult classic.
This is actually fun. a little repetitive, and challenging at times. Good game. Me like.
