About the Game

Pure Football 2018 is a fully featured American Football Simulator that draws inspiration from the classic football games of the 2000's.

Get back to Pure Football

Get away from the animation based modern football games where linebackers have 10 foot verticals and corners have eyes in the back of their head and get back to real football.

Get back to a Franchise mode with personality

In Pure Football, General Managers and Coaches have personalities and tendencies. Different coaches run different schemes which need different players. General Managers trying to fill those needs have different philosophies on how to do so. Are they aggressive in free agency? Do they reach in the draft? Are they willing to trade away their future for a chance to win the championship now? Watch as your league evolves as Coaches and General Managers get hired and fired around the league.

Get Back to Football Roots

Pure Football 2018 is set in the age of leather helmets and classic uniforms. Dive into the 1930's styled office with music from another time. Enjoy the classic feel with modern game play.

Customize your way of playing

Play your seasons with the including teams or use the custom roster editor to make your own leagues, teams, players, and coaches. Check out the forums to share yours or try someone else's.

Ill support the developers just to stick it to EA. Exlcusive rights is an abomination to the free market and capitalism. Its about time people show them that we dont care about the NFL shield or its teams. We want a enjoyable football simulation that has to get better by not buying out their competition, but by being better than the competitors. That being said, Its early. The game is rough. But fun. You can build an entire team yourself. So if you have the ability to rattle off 50 someodd names like Tony Nutsuckle, George Chodie, and Cantse Naggy, then youll have a blast. I hope PureFootball continues its project. As a long time football fan, a long time video game player, and a former Madden player for over 25 years, I wish you the best of luck.

Still a lot of polishing to do on this thing but the bones of a pretty cool football game are already there. There is a gaping hole in the PC football market left by the fact that Madden games don't come out for PC since 2009. Choosing to set it way back in the early days is a genius stroke. Gameplay needs to be tightened up. Visuals need to be perfected. UI needs to be optimized. I still like it despite all of those flaws. https://youtu.be/CxAcllMlpqE

The game is clearly in its early stages, but frequent updates and a dev that listens to his community and pushes out patches in less than a day makes buying this game a worthy investment for all football fans on PC

This game is not worth $15. It' s barebones, a proof of concept. But not worth $15. The UI is barebones, there's lag, and so much that leaves much to be desired. Also the fact that as of this review (6/13), there have not been any news updates in a month. That's worrying for a game this basic.

The gameplay in its current state is awful so I cannot reccomend it. It seems to have some good devs that work hard on it so I will be keeping the game so they can use my $15 to their disposal to make it better. This is a market that doesnt have much love and if these guys are going to put together a nice game for PC gamers, I can support that. If the gameplay gets better in the future, I will change this review.

This game has a lot of potential. Very active developer who is always listening to the community. I am really glad more football games are coming out. Hopefully this genre grows, so EA's monopoly on football can hopefully be challenged. I will be supporting these games every game they come out with and I will feel very happy, as its not going to EA.

This is an era of American Football that nobody has explored previously. For that effort of creativity alone you get a thumbs up. Leather helmets and a simpler time. Brilliant! Lots of room for improvement but, I love what you're thinking!

1- Forever early access 2- After working on my team for 30 hours, eventually it bugs and it makes the franchise non-playable anymore. They admit it and i never made another team after that because it demends a lot of work. 3- Expensive The hype i got early was nice but the fact that the game bugs after 1 or 2 seasons really killed the fun.

I have to give this a recommendation of not to buy. Started out with promise ( were have you heard that before in early access) but updates have not come since the july, with no word from the developer. He started hot out of the gate with updates but then turned to saying that he is burnt out. No penalties in the game, an extreme lack of polish and not a clear word on what is in store. It is a waste of funds at this point.

The game in current state has a long ways to. That being said, the game in its current state has already come a long way since it was released. Over the years, I have bought sports games that I didn't think that I would play enough to get my money's worth simply to support the creator and their vision. The most disappointing thing about those purchases was the creator released a bare bones game and did very little to update and improve that version for the buyer, instead creating a new version the next year with some improvements. That's were Pure Football 2018 has far surpassed my expectations. We are around 2 weeks in and there has been an update of some sort almost every day. The creator has been very willing to listen to suggestions and add them to the game were they made sense. I highly recommend this game and supporting the developer because, to me, it/he is exactly what Early Access should be. I have enjoyed being a very very small part of the evolution of the game an...
