About This Game

Steampunker is an award-winning point and click adventure game involving a search for hidden objects. It's set in an astonishing steampunk world.

The adventures of Vincent, our hero, begin when evil robots attack the Earth. The game contains a series of puzzles linked together into a traditional point and click adventure story.

We meet Vincent in a harbor, then he boards a submarine, travels to an island, flies to the Moon in a rocket and finally fights the robots in their spaceship. In order to complete the mission Vincent has to explore the world and find objects needed to fix the vehicles and move in his unique steampunk style world. The brain teasers include fighting a steam leakage, solving maths puzzles and many more. The game is simple and intuitive, naturally drawing the player into the main protagonist’s amazing world.

Music and sound effects have been created by Silver Rocket which has also developed and recorded the concept-album "Tesla" about the iconic (not only for a steampunk lovers) genius – Nikola Tesla.

• Five chapters including more than 30 puzzles and brain teasers
• Hidden objects gameplay
• Unique hand-drawn steampunk graphics
• Original music recorded by Silver Rocket

Interesting variation from the standard HOG with your character on screen like in a platformer. Items are hidden in the background rather than a scene cluttered with objects. A few puzzles require quick thinking and a couple mini-games will requiring some dexterity above that of a potato. It is pretty a pretty short game but the extra effort the Devs put in to make the gameplay stand out from traditional HOGs, make this one that deserves a look. Unfortunately all the achievements are non-functional.

Honestly, the atmosphere is kinda nice and actually fits the Unity-look. Not everyones thing, but I liked it. And it's made by a handful of people, I appreciate that, since it apparently ties into the universe of there other game, nice. Plus some steampunk-esk photos that serve no purpose other than Steam-Achievements (which didn't work for me btw). Fits nice. But that's about it. On sale for -90% that'S fine. But for the full price I'd be pissed. The story in a puzzle game is neglectable, in my opinion, so let's put that aside. But the puzzles themself should be then decent, right? Well, major part of most of the puzzles is finding X pieces for a puzzle, which then is usually a rather simple and unchallening logic puzzle. You probably gonna waste 5 solid minutes to find 16-pixel-sized specs, which blend into the background, for a puzzle, just to be done with it within 15 seconds. At some point (one puzzle) it ramps up to medical study-cognition-reaction-test-level, but that's it....

pros + cool steampunk and 18th. century aesthetics and atmosphere + story reminds to you Jules Verne's stories. (İt's not well developed, though) + plenty of puzzles and mini games. there are also some 1990's type arcade and action games. (arcade and action games don't fit in this kind of game, though) + there is a tutorial + there are some cool looking visuals + there is a hint system (it's not so helpful, though) cons - game confuses severe pixel hunting with finding hidden objects. there is an hint system though, it helps to you where the items are but it's not very helpful. - frustrating timed mini games - mostly obscure puzzle solutions - memory mini games. i hate them - background musics getting quickly annoying. i muted it. - there is no skip option for mini games. you have to play and complete all of them - character's slow movement. (especially when he arrived to moon. there is no gravity on there you know!) - game short - there are no cards and steam achievements don't wo...

Sadly I cannot give this one a thumbs up. It has some interesting things going with it, and I like the Steam Punk aesthetic, but the hidden object games are often a bit obtuse, and worst of all the hint function only reminds you of what you are trying to do (or in some cases things you have already done) without giving you any actual hint. All of this would have been forgivable if the wonky control system didn't make the ending impossible for me to win.
The ending is similar to the game asteroids, but while one click, you would think, would destroy an asteroid, or at least break it down in to it's smaller component, three and four clicks were often required, by which time it was too late.
As such, I cannot recommend this game. Also for those who care about these things, the achievements are broken. I didn't get a single one. If you want to give it a try, it took me 2.6 hours, start to almost finish.

Keep your eyes happy and DO NOT play this game. No adventure, no steampunk and no achievements. BUT there's Great Cthulhu and he's steampunking laughing at you

Cute little 2 or 3 hour game. Has a little too much against a clock timer and those memory type puzzles and a little too much seek-and-find stuff for my taste but, that said, it balanced it all nice enough that it wasn't a thumb down. For the price, a buck or two, pick it up and give it a ride.

Thumbs down! I like steampunk, so I had high hopes for this game. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I liked some of the artwork, but not the gameplay. It’s not a regular Hidden Object Game (HOG) with a list of items to find in a picture. The hidden objects are more like collectible items in that they’re scattered across different screens. That wouldn’t be so bad if the objects were cleverly hidden. Instead, hidden objects are hard to see because they’re too small. On the other hand, it is easy to spot some of the photos of people in the background. You can click on them to zoom in. However, the pictures themselves aren’t that exciting and there’s no explanation who the people are. I’d rather look at the steampunk robots. It’s a shame this artwork wasn’t used in a better game. I kind of liked shooting down robots with the submarine, but most of the mini-games weren’t anything special. A few had timers. I don’t like trying to beat the clock. One mini-game was jus...

Game was a bit too short, IMO. But it was a great theme in any case. It wasn't always clear what to do and usage of the hint "?" was a must. But if you like steampunk, and you like giant robots, for the price, you can't go wrong.
