About This Game

Nestled within galaxy NGC 43324 lies the earth-like planet Proteus, the home of ExoCross! Take on a (literally) out-of-this-world racing challenge featuring wild off-road terrain, powerful open-wheel vehicles, slipstream-powered boosts, and unparalleled handling, and see if you can become the greatest off-road racer in the galaxy!

4CPT physics: Fully-simulated chassis and suspension components and a soft-body tire model create realistic weight transfer and understeer/oversteer. Bring your rallying and off-road skills to Proteus and you’ll be rewarded!

Slipstream and boosts: Put the power down in the right places to charge past your opponents, or slot in behind them to recharge your boost as quickly as possible.

Three unique cars: Take the wheel of three distinct cars, each more challenging and powerful than the last. Start off in the approachable Vulcan XC-1500, enhance your skills in the more powerful Orion XC-3000, and see if you’ve got what it takes to master the fire-breathing Titan XC-7000.

Dozens of circuits: Do battle on 19 distinct track layouts—each raceable in both directions—across four unique zones. From desert-like sands to forest dirt, pavement, and even a track high above the ground, you’ve never seen racing like this.

AI Racing and Career Mode: Advance through six racing series, two per car, to establish yourself as the top driver in ExoCross, going into battle with challenging AI opponents in up to 10-race seasons. Just want to pick up and play? Pick any car and track combo you want and hit the track!

Challenge Mode: Take on 48 unique challenges across all four zones and showcase your top speed against a global leaderboard.

Online racing: Face off with global players in a mix of Challenges and circuit races, with player votes determining every car and track selection. When the community decides, will you have the skills to make the best of the rounds ahead?

Solid arcade racer but not for a full price. You're supposed to be racing on alien planets yet they all look the same and they don't look interesting except the skybox has another planet with rings on it. There are no shortcuts on the tracks, you can't destroy the environment except a few tire walls that are placed next to the track. The handling feels very floaty and once you loose grip it feels like you're on ice. All the cars look the same and uninteresting. I never played iRacing so I don't how that game plays, but it feels like the devs never tried to make an arcade racer before. I like this probably gonna play it every now and then but if either buy Grip Combat racing or get this game when it's on sale.

Quite simple in concept and execution. Dirt racing on a far-off planet. Introduction is brief, and you can jump into a campaign race quickly. The campaign fairs typically of a standard racing game. Do races, unlock more events, increase vehicle class. (I have yet to try the challenge content.) Some basic customization options in the form of color swatches, flag emblems, tail lights. A few different vehicles with varying stats. Mechanically, the vehicles perform as expected, but when pushing top speeds, it's easy to find your vehicle drifting and losing traction during corners. In the worst situations, sliding off track and launching off into the air and being forced to reset, usually with a time penalty. So keep that brake handy if your approaching a sharp corner rapidly. Collisions make overtaking opponents tricky. If you're like me, you'll find some entertainment in cutting corners for overtakes, or brewing some chaos in a pack of cars hogging the racing line before the lead. So far,...
