pixelBOT EXTREME!

The Game is a lot of fun and addictive. Whoever likes to play Run'n'Gun Games shouldn't miss this one. The Levels are created in a way that is very challenging.. in a good way! Because you do not pass them by chance or without effort, the game guarantees long-term fun. I made it to the second boss and played12 hours already. Many more are definitely to come. I like the different-colored obstacles best, which you have to shoot with the matching color by pressing the right button. This is a great idea and it is implemented awesome, too. In Addition these obstacles are from a different type in general (rockets, barriers, mines, spikes),through which the game is varied. Something new awaits you in every level.

Awesome tough-as-nails retro style platformer! This game offers fun 2D run and gun gameplay and the novel color based shooting mechanic gives it an unique touch. Pixelbot's presentation is superb and has a memorable and unique gritty vibe to it. Clearly a lot of love and attention to detail went into the excellently crafted pixelart. The game in general has a lot on offer: Every level introduces interesting new stuff like new abilities for pixelbot, new enemy types or new obstacles, which makes the game feel fresh and interesting throughout. The levels encourage multiple playthroughs with lots of collectibles and occassionaly branching pathes to explore. On top of that there is also an even harder version of each level to unlock. I have a lot of fun with this game and I'm glad that I discovered this hidden gem!

Frankly, it's glorified Flappy Bird, not a run 'n gun. The hitboxes and controls are iffy at best, and certainly not up to par with what the level design expects from you. Color coded enemies are a neat idea but the low fire rate and again, not the best controls/hitboxes make it all feel just a bit slippery and not at all satisfying to play. Difficulty sliders are a positive but don't really tide me over into wanting to play it again. 2 out of 5 or something.

New definition of hardcore. Very very difficult and frustrating .. but .. you .. just ... have ... to ... continue!!!!!

A lot of fun, eventho its challenging. The colour mecanism is tricky when you play it the first time but you get sucked into it. Would recomend to play it with a controler.

This is an awsome hardcore shoot 'em up plattformer. It's very challanging and I am realy bad at it. But it's highly addictive. I also like the innovative color code mechanics. This game is kind of flappy bird meets guitar hero with guns. And the soundtrack rocks.

I like the concept of the game in which you have to avoid obstacles and at the same time kill enemys with the right color of your blaster. It's like an multitasking overkill but in a positive way. I haven't seen any other game like this before. It's very hard but because of that very motivating.

Finally something new and challenging in the shmup genre! Getting the colors right feels fresh, fun and rewarding. Varying levels mixed with cool boss fights form a good combination. Checkpoint system is motivating you to try again and again and don't give up. Recommendation if you're looking for an innovative retro action shmup!

I played the first few level and I think its great! It is well designed and you can see that the designer put very much time and heart in designing the levels. The game is very hard and you should play it if you are interssted in this type of game! I think for that price you cant get a better deal.
