Slime Sports

I thought this game would be terrible because of the art style, but it's one of the most fun games I've ever played. It's like super smash bros combined with the old slime soccer games. The powers are really unique and its fun seeing how they interact with each other. If you get 2-4 people together to play this, it's a blast. The other review mentions players clipping as a negative, but that's intended so slime's can pass through each other. Overall, if you loved the old slime games and have people to play with you should check this one out.

Wow, what a blast from the past. For the uninitiated, the original slime sports games are simple, browser-based games that pit two or more slimes against each other in a variety of sports. They used simple physics and graphics, but the end result was a very fun time-waster that was a blast to play against friends or the surprisingly robust AI. I remember wasting hours of time in middle school computer labs slacking off and playing these games versus my friends. Over the years, I had all but forgotten about them until stumbling across this game. Featuring three sports: soccer, racketball, and volleyball, Slime Sports brings back the exact feeling of those silly old browser games with even more added replay value. The graphics are simple, but suit the game well. The music is fun, albeit a little repetitive until you unlock some additional maps. Great party game with a lot of variety. It's a quick, easy game that's a great time filler. Definitely worth a buy.

As it stands I can't recommend it. It is very much an almost complete title, but there are some game breaking bugs here and there, like the Apple Slime that stun locks its opponents perpetually because its power does not expire. With one final pass, a toggle to remove broken and uninteresting maps and fixing all slime powers this would be a great spiritual successor to superslimesoccer.
