About This Game

Mineko’s Night Market is a game that celebrates Japanese culture while introducing a heartwarming story about friendship, tradition, and many, many cats.

Play as Mineko, a curious girl who has just arrived at her new home on a struggling Japanese-inspired island at the base of Mount Fugu. The superstitious locals on the island worship the Sun Cat, Nikko. What was always thought to be a long-told myth has the town puzzled, as sightings of Nikko have begun to surface among the residents of the island in recent days.

Discover the secrets behind the town and restore the struggling village to its former glory. All the while, manage your daily activities, complete various jobs, venture on whimsical quests, and craft peculiar items in preparation for the weekly Night Market!

Key Features

  • Play and compete in a variety of Night Market games like themed parades, cat racing, and stage performances
  • Solve puzzles, evade nosy Agents, and sneak into locked areas with various disguises
  • Craft peculiar items with the resources you find around the world through a variety of work-bench mini-games
  • Befriend and barter with dozens of townsfolk at the weekly Night Market to sell almost anything you make and find
  • Hours of exploration and four seasons to experience across the vast island of Mt. Fugu

I don't write negative reviews often... but this game is genuinely boring to me. Also, not my type of humour. Weirdly obnoxious... Refunded.

The controls are not great. It's not as buggy as other users reported, but it's not super fun either. Having to stock up to make money on Saturday only is a frustrating game loop. I felt like I was spinning my wheels, wasting time 3/4 of the game, because I needed 1 item to turn in that was available next season. I gave up on the beach level where the game wanted me to wear an outfit, but didn't tell me that until I was there. Wasted a whole half-day for literally no reason, they could have just given it to me then, or told me to put it on, etc. The wiki is useless, and most questions online go to a now-banned subreddit. So good luck figuring out things that aren't instantly clear.

this game is so fun despite the nervous tick motion Mineko does after harvesting something.. reminds me of this cringey guy on reels doing Bella from Twilight scenes. i can't quite seem to forget that. about 5 hours in my game froze at the bus stop, i think i was pushing the enter button too quickly between options and it glitched on me and i was unable to select any options after. i spent some time trying to debunk it and free myself but that may have been a 'me' problem because i didn't find ANYTHING online posted about the problem i was having. it sucked having to close and reopen the game to start the day over but thankfully it was my first bus stop and i hadn't done much else other than catch fish. the fact that this game is ran on a calendar day system (like other games i.e. harvest moon etc) makes it feel full and structured to me where i am only comfortable playing it if i know i can spend and hr or two at my computer however being able to choose how long the days are (b...
