Telling Lies is the new video game from Sam Barlow, creator of Her Story and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. An investigative thriller game with non-linear storytelling, Telling Lies revolves around a cache of secretly recorded video conversations. It stars Logan Marshall-Green, Alexandra Shipp, Kerry Bishé and Angela Sarafyan.

How does it work?

Telling Lies sits you in front of an anonymous laptop loaded with a stolen NSA database full of footage. The footage covers two years in the intimate lives of four people whose stories are linked by a shocking incident. Explore the database by typing search terms, watch the clips where those words are spoken and piece together your story.

Unlike anything you've played before, Telling Lies is an intimate and intense experience. A game where you decide the truth.

Oh god I wish I liked this game but it's insufferable from beginning to end. The "main" character is a creep who spoiler alert [cheats on his wife with a teenager to try and frame her for terrorism, knocks up the teen- and doesn't once question if its weird that the teenager has the same type of toy his daughter has. [/spoiler] amongst many others. Obviously a protagonist doesn't have to be likeable persay, but it feels like we're supposed to at least sort of be on his side since we're basically viewing everything through his experiences/calls. I wish I listened to the reviews that said this was the worst game the devs have made because it really is. Play Her Story or Immortal, both are great. Do not spend a dollar on this one, and don't play it. It's the only game by the user that I refuse to even attempt to get 100% because my time is worth more than any creepy side plots they want me to watch. I have no clue what the lesson or morale of this game is compared to the other two that h...
