About This Game

Synopsis

Charlotte's story has ended. Charlotte's story has begun.

A prologue. An epilogue.

An end. A beginning.

All ended well.

There was nothing to grieve about.

Info

Hello Charlotte: Childhood's End is the final story in the Hello Charlotte series, serving as a prologue and an epilogue to the main plot.

A prosumer noise machine, a virulent insect, an obscene revelation — and an earnest thank you.

Hello Charlotte games:

  • Hello Charlotte EP1 (2015) is a story about a memory of long-gone gods and loss of individuality, where your Puppet's new friend goes missing among the static.

  • Hello Charlotte EP2 (2016) is a story lamenting the impossibility of universal happiness, and idolization of those out of our reach.
As her mind unravels, ink will flow, and blood-red flowers will bloom in the desolate field.

  • Hello Charlotte: Delirium (2017) is a spin-off minigame made to test some of the RPG Maker features. It's a red herring.

This game has changed my life. I had no idea what to expect except for Q84, and it was my best decision buying this game. Thank you Etherane. To anybody reading reviews to see if you should buy this game or not, Please do. It's a very good game that I think everyone should play. (Don't forget to play the other 2 episodes before this)

The game was good, it really was, but this third episode sort of brought it down from a 10/10 to maybe a 7, 7 and a half if generous Because yeah the story and message are good, but honestly I prefer my own head-canon's for it, like what was up with
Charlotte taking the Abilify
in the
First episode, and it working
if it's
Another universe where the laws seem completely different?
it just doesn't make much sense that the
abilify would do anything considering the nature
but I guess that's probably just me, and that's why I still recommend it, yeah I definitely can understand and comprehend the true ending and purpose of the story but I still prefer to have it end at part 2 and just assume charlotte
is a regular girl with mental illnesses in the real world and going through the experiences
because it also adds up to the idea if she takes the
abilify that it'll make the others go away, ...

SPOILERS! Hello Charlotte was an incredible game with truly no good outcomes, with fiction showing that while we want to escape from reality, we might make reality worse for someone else. I can't explain just how good this game is and there will never be anything better. It hit me on a very personal note as a writer myself and while I haven't been through the same pain as the protagonist, I feel the same way as him sometimes. Please, don't miss out on a game like this. The gameplay might be boring and repetitive, but the art style and dialogue with story saves it. The characters feel incredibly each with their own issues and traumas that haunt them, with the dialogue feeling even more real, especially in EP0. The execution is flawless with very good music chosen and, very big applause to the creator, for creating this almost entirely by herself. The final message was the hardest thing for me to get through. The game, all in all, is 10/10, and nothing will ever recreate this. Pleas...

most of my reviews on this account are often a joke, but i feel like this one really deserves a proper one. honestly, at first i didn't expect much to this series. i've already known of it's existence for a few years now, but never took the time to look into it, until recently. i was going through a tough time back then, so i decided to give it a try. at first i thought that it would be just an innocent rpgmaker game with a few tones of psychological horror to it, but holy crap, i was totally mind-blown after finishing the first chapter. i wanted more of it, so i ended up buying all the episodes + heaven's gate DLC. now, i can safely say that this game for sure will have a very special place in my heart. not only for the aesthetics, but because of it's uniqueness as well, and how well they handle certain topics. the characters all have distinct features and personalities, and the entire lore of the game is absolutely captivating. it hooks the reader to the story so easily, and i f...
