About This Game

GUNS, LASERS, CARS & EXPLOSIONS

Inspired by cult classics such as Interstate ’76 or Twisted Metal, Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome is a fresh take on the vehicular combat genre. As a contender in this dark future’s most popular blood sport, you must battle the most dangerous motorized killers from around the world to the beats of an immersive synthwave soundtrack. You are a battle-hardened gladiator, your ride is your weapon, and your fame can mean the difference between death or glory.

NO GAME IS THE SAME

Fight in a variety of arenas against a host of different enemies. Each wave spawns varying enemies and therefore a different challenge every time.

GO BIG OR GO HOME

Simply surviving is not good enough. What you do and how you do it is reflected in your popularity. Please the sociopathic crowds with an exciting, explosive show and you can expect prizes and buffs. Provide a dull performance and you are in for a nasty surprise.

ADAPT OR DIE

Enemy fire is not the only danger present in the arena. Emergent environmental threats such as cybersandworms, laser walls, and incinerators, just to name a few, create additional hazards… but you can always use them to your advantage.

YOU LIVE, YOU DIE, YOU FIGHT AGAIN

There are only a handful of MEGADOME champions, so you are expected to die. A lot! While death means the end of the current playthrough, you still keep the fame points you have gained to upgrade your driver and your ride… Become an ever more menacing MEGADOME contender.

I'm an enthusiast of Twisted Metal-like games and damn this game is awesome! I played a bit more than a hour for now and it is quite addictive. It's an arena where you have to fight waves of enemies after waves. I will compare to my experience of Twisted Metal 2, Vigilante 8, V8 2nd Offense and Rogue Trip to make this review. It has no missions like the Vigilante 8 serie, only pure good action. It's similar to Rogue Trip in term of craziness and ambiance. You're here for the show, for the public to see destruction and people being killed. If you watched The Running Man, this is pretty much the same principle. You don't get bored because you try your best to survive every time. Now you would say maybe it gets frustrating. Not really: you can upgrade your car with the money you get so you do get further every time even if you're not especially good at it. The music, the announcer, the ambiance and the colors overall are super immersive. I love the style of this game overall but I mus...

Best I can say right now is that this game is way more fun than it has any right being at a $5 price tag. Looking forward to whatever is going to be added, and I can't see how it'll do anything else but get better. Cyberpho, you did a pretty good job here!

I'm going to begin my write-up on this by saying i wanted to like this game, I enjoy the Twisted Metal series and i've been looking for something to scratch that itch. However, unfortunately this game couldn't do it due to technical issues that i hope will get fixed further down the line, if not addressed in a later title by the same developer. I'm going to address my distaste with this game in a short few points 1. The aesthetic is dark and muddled. I understand that you're going for a more neon-Synthwave fitting artstyle for your game, but the color palette on terrain being a mix of washed out whites, grays, and light browns makes it exceedingly diificult to tell what kind of terrain you're actually driving on and how to handle the car accordingly. I also feel like the cyberpunk/Escape from New York style aesthetic is actually the wrong pick for this kind of game, and it could've benefitted from a different tone. I'm not going to ask for another Mad Max style car combat game becaus...

0.3 hours. I'm sure some will say that's not enough time to have a valid opinion. I'd say just look at the achievements, and just maybe I'm not out of line. This game is not that good. The controller support is a joke, broken in the menus half the time. Playing with keyboard and mouse is only marginally better, but only after you unlock the turret to rotate 360 degrees instead of the normal ~30 degrees from center. But then it doesn't help that the car still handles poorly, the AI will start shooting you while they're still an indistinguishable spec on the horizon, you get ONE life per game (and purchasable continues), heals are all but nonexistent, your shield is a joke, items will sometimes be dropped but not actually appear, and the game maxes out at 1024x768 resolution (so all the screenshots and videos on Steam are currently lies). But don't take it just from me. Take it from the achievement list that as of this writing 80% of owners have been wrecked once, 40% of players ...

I can't recommend this to anyone. The driving is difficult to control and feels like you're sliding all over the place. Yes I know that it might control different on sand and snow but why? What purpose does that serve to enhance the game? You can't pull of a simple 180 to shoot the cars behind you and you desperately want to do this since you're probably taking a ton of damage. Then the turret doesn't turn the entire 360 degrees which is frustrating. An enemy will be up your ass shooting you and you can't do anything about it. The enemies can shoot in 360 degrees though so good luck trying to stay in their blind spot. Cool ideas but if the driving isn't good what's the point? Interstate '76 was one of the first PC games I have when was a kid (come with a Creative Sound or Video card I don't remember). And it was one of my favorite games for years! I always want a modern game how look and feel like Interstate '76 but never find it... Nightwolf: Survive the Megadome is different, yes, is in the future, have a synthwave/futurewave feel, don't looks have a "open world" or good history mode like Interstate '76 or lot of weapons and cars... BUT! Its make me feel happy, is like a spiritual successor of the old game I loved so much! I recommend very much!

AESTHETIC retro driving shooter game! Can't wait to see what kind of updates this game gets. I like the fact that is has leaderboards so you can compete with other players. The graphics, music, and sound effects are a retro 1980's style pulled off really good. The gameplay is really good, the controls are tight and it feels satisfying, the menu system is also really easy to use and cool. For only $4.99 this game is great. I can't wait to see what this dev does!!! Nightwolf is badass!

Insanely well stylized and fun to the limits. However it does not prevent me grinning like little child. It's fast paced and leaves no room for boredom. Expectedly, I suck at this game BADLY. However it doesn't prevent me from grinning like little brat. I'm pretty sure, that it will get even better, once they get the chance to polish things out a bit. It's pretty, fun and fast. BUY&PLAY it! Now! :)
