I watching this game closely for years. I did not buy before due lack of CO-OP. Since I like Satisfactory especially building electricity network this game is seemed promising. I bought recently due it was on sale and I saw COOP Beta tests. This game is good. It is EA stage but perfectly playable. What to expect? You can experience of about 2 minutes in the very begining at campaign mode that the characters and the look of the character is dull. The a dialogues are dull too. When the accident happens and you stranded alone in the MARS you dont get involved any character interaction anymore so problem solved. But..you stranded on planet mars. Despite the inventory is unrealistic - you can carry half a planet without a struggle - you are going to be facing a serious problems out there. Weather situation is deadly. The night cold deadly too. Power blackouts. Hunger. I have a base with the ATV. The vehicle is drained off and I dont have any food and my potatoes is still growing. Sandst...

Build greenhouses, oxygen tanks, fuel generators, connect all the pipes and cables, and remember about proper cable management. Grow your own food.

Manage your energy production and build your electricity grid. Make sure that there is enough water, oxygen, power, and food to survive.

Fix broken parts using realistic electronic components and tools. Learn the basics soldering, using hot air, measurement tools, and all the details necessary to fix your equipment.

Explore different regions of Mars while searching for valuable resources, discover mining sites, and find the best place to build a city.

Remember that you need to find a relatively leveled area with good access to underground water in a place where temperatures don't drop too much during the night.

Experience an open-world sandbox game with a realistic day/night cycle and overcome real challenges that colonists face. Build solar arrays and batteries for energy storage, upgrade them, and find the optimal way to power your colony.

Upgrade your vehicles and equipment in your garage. Organize your workshop and modify your rover. Change crane hydraulics, operate the robotic arm, dig for valuable resources, build mining rigs, and more...

Occupying Mars is not always easy. Sometimes things will explode, break or not go exactly as planned. Learn to cope with "Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly.” Sometimes you have to really act quickly before you run out of air, food, or energy.

At this point time i've had enough of constant game freezing, loosing progress having to save constantly manually to avoid loosing game time played. You have a great structure of a game and its highly addictive. Just too many bugs and until they are fixed i wont be returning. Your number one bugs are games not loading and games freezing. I have to prep Task Manager on my second screen to end the Occupy Task to be able to reset. If i don't, task manager wont even open on the primary monitor resulting in a full PC restart. We are nearing the end of 2025 devs these issue will kill your game fast!
Landed on Mars, got a friendly safety briefing in a nice little settlement. Felt safe. Confident. Ready for the challenges ahead. Settlement then exploded. Woke up miles away, holding a jackhammer like some confused space miner. Spent the rest of the day smacking rocks until they gave up. Built myself a shiny new base. Next morning, meteor turns it into modern art. 10/10 most realistic Mars experience I’ve ever had.
food mre in real life is 12, 24, and 36 hours supplies . in this game 3 mre per 24 hrs. oxygen generation in this game is barely 6 liters per hr n yet 3 life pods is 18 liters per hr n one still cant survive. its a good game but messed up in calculations. i understand its hard but why is my life based on a rare spawn to get a sabatier? its stupid. all the people that said do this n do that is based on 2020 and doesnt work in 2025. all i can say is its too easy on normal but not viable on madman. have the developers played on madman?
Terrible optimisation, really janky.
it's fun to play
