Nope, nope, nope.... I was hyped for this game. I love the art style. I also love chill open world exploration games(not always, but when the mood strikes, I easily get consumed). Problem with Sable is, getting from point A to point B is torturous. Imagine playing "Shadow of the Colossus" & every time you came across the tiniest of bumps in the ground, Agro flew up into the air & toppled over in some random direction. How fast would you shut the game off & walk away? Now make the world less interesting. Voila, you now know what it's like to play Sable.

Chill vibes. Interesting art style. The puzzles and exploration are engaging and I had fun running around unlocking new skins for my bike and character. I don't complete all the achievements in every game but I did in this one. Kept me entertained and I was sort of hooked on the exploration of the world a bit more than the lore. I found that sort of flat. I will say that the animations, music, and sound effects were decent. Overall, enjoyable experience. I had some optimization issues with Vsync, lots of screen tearing but that could just be my setup. Otherwise, the game performed well. I 100% completed the achievements in the game but did not 100% unlock everything. There were still some bike parts and costumes I could have foraged up enough money to purchase. However, I chose not to. There were some odd things about the climbing mechanics at times and the camera could be a pain but they were manageable enough to get around. Sometimes the color / shader engine would...
Soooo boring. The whole beginning feels like it's trying to push you past the two hour mark so you can't refund It feels like it plays itself up, like there's lore, there is magical science, there is something to grab... and there is not. Maybe there's something to explore? Yes, but no, because there's literally nothing worth finding.
The vibe captured in this game is immaculate. Feels like a ghibli movie environment with a surrealist flair i get to go out and explore the far corners of. Cannot express my admiration to the small team of developers enough <3
Has a cool art style. Felt like playing I was playing a zelda game, but without any of the other fun mechanics. It's just exploration. Which can be alright, but was a bit boring for me. Girlfriend enjoyed it much more than I did. So maybe a good gift?
A gorgeous game with a heartwarming and relatable coming of age story. Also, VERY buggy, but enjoyable despite that fact.
top,
This is a wonderful game! The art is simple and great at the same time. So fun to explore the world and interact with the characters on different quests, with lots of things to discover and fun challenges, both with timing and mental challenges.
Wonderful experience that reminded me of my first time playing Death Stranding, Shadow of the Colossus, and Breath of the Wild. I had a blast exploring the world! I hope the devs get all of the funding they would ever need to make a follow up, or another IP. Happy Gliding to all those who try this masterpiece!
Great Exploration and Immersion
I love pure exploration games. Journey, Omno, and Abzu are a some others that focus heavily on just wandering around and experiencing the world. Sable has many similarities but I think it does more. Normally games that throw dozens of quests at me at a time are overwhelming, but sable makes it exciting because navigating the world is satisfying and fun. After I left the Ewer, I think I played for 5 hours straight, wandering around and doing quests. I did not get bored. At that point I thought Sable would end up as as one of my favorite games ever, but my next few sittings made it drop a bit. The game has a lot of glitches. Normally I overlook glitches (Subnautica was glitchy but still ended up as my favorite game ever) but it's not fun to have to exit the game every couple of hours because the area I glide into is unloaded or the game crashes or something. Also, a major moment was when I learned I could f...
