Deadly Cryptids

A well done wave shooter, well priced. Graphics look nice - the sand worms could use a little work visually but the standing monsters are great and scared me for sure. The companion who helps would be better with an actual voice I think... the guns responsive and aim is natural.

VR at it's best. Amazing that this game is made by only 1 guy. About the game : - Everything is so detailed your mind plays tricks on you, from the guns to the enemies even the surroundings. Once my brains thought the rock I was hidding behind was so real, I thought lending on it with the result I smacked my face onto the ground :-) - Shooting and aiming is also very accurate. If you aim right the enemies die a lot faster! - There are some really creepy ennemies that give you the chill's if they sneak up to you from behind. - Without giving to much information, near the end of the game there is a scene where I constantly had goosebumps all over my body and my heart was racing like never expierenced in games before. - The shooting range is a big plus, so you can test and see which guns the developer has prepared for you. - Bitcoin multiplier is a cool feature, even a little bit more for the guys owning some crypto's, when they experience the game is more difficult they are earning mone...

This game is on sale for only $1.19. Are you kidding me!? BUY THIS GAME NOW!! I bought it thinking it would be trash. I was soooooooo WRONG. I’m making a review which I NEVER do because the game is sooooooooooo cheap right now on SALE. I have a terrible habit of buying every game around, and then playing it for less than 5 minutes (NOT kidding), and moving on to the next one. I only JUST started to play this game and was IMMEDIATELY impressed. The graphics are really good, and it just seemed “different” from all the other wave shooters out there. Having a blast with this game! The weapons are well crafted and feel real. Mastering the "realistic reload" requires solid hand-eye coordination and honing your signature reload combo is pretty satisfying :) Doubly so with dual weapons. The shooting range is great training to make those skills battle worthy. Whereas a lot of shooters nowadays are too easy, Deadly Criptids is challenging in a nostalgic old school way. The onslaught of monsters pushes you to be fast and agile, no exceptions! Taking cover is fun and when fireballs explode against your cover it’s a spectacular experience. The creatures themselves are nicely drawn and provide some heartfelt scares. The story is lightweight with some humor for good measure. The compagnon chick could use a voice though. Played on Vive Pro 2 with Index controllers: It seems well enough for a short bit of fun... but it really doesnt... controls (changing magazine) were impossible. grabbing the slider was a chore and i constantly switched hands accidentally, grabbing and letting go of something was extremely counter-intuitive.. you should think that letting go of the grip would let go in game.. but it doesnt... Also the game would crash a lot too.

I really did not enjoy my time spent with this game at all. It's just another wave shooter of course, but it does something incredibly wrong that I feel will discourage some casual VR gamers. And that is it overwhelms the player with an excessive number of worms that move way too aggressively and reach the player way too fast even on the supposed easiest difficulty. This is a common mistake that I see many VR developers make is that easy mode is not truly easy. The worms in this game are almost instantly all over you to the point that you are mostly shooting down around you until the level ends in failure, which shouldn't happen so easily and so fast on the easiest difficulty. Another thing I did not enjoy was an overuse of a heartbeat sound, which pounds and pounds in your ears until you go through the procedure of finding a needle and injecting yourself. This heartbeat sound also played endlessly the first time I started the game and got a fatal crash error. The bland desert settin...
