*Note: Added an edit after the new updates. Has potential. The gameplay mechanics essentially feel like Psi-ops mixed with Metal Gear revengeance, which sounds like a match made in heaven, though the game falls a little short of its full potential atm. It's mechanically sound, runs well and has good VR features and the graphics are bare but functional. Where the game falls short is the sound design, it's very subdued, bordering to nonexistent, which takes away a lot of the fun and force of the player actions. The swords are essentially completely silent and even bigger moments of carnage and destruction are accompanied by tiny tings and clangs. It's a shame too, because with decent sound feedback the action would really be on par with the games this takes inspiration from. It's still fun, so I'll give it a recommendation, but with just a little audio work it could be way more satisfying. EDIT: The developers udptaded the game recently, adding a bunch of soundwork which have done ...

About This Game
The wait is almost over, in Combat Tested you can fully realize that dream, and more. Playing the game you'll have full control over a range of special abilities designed to make you feel like a badass. You have telekinesis, allowing you to pick up and throw objects and enemies. There's stasis, a power that lets you freeze objects in mid-air for a short period of time. You can freely teleport around for fast movement. Then there's 3 super abilities, these can only be used when your Infusion stage is at 1 or higher. To increase your Infusion stage or I.F. stage for short, you drain I.F. containers that can be found throughout the lab.
If you like super powers, you probably like swords as well. So you'll get those too, two actually. These are no regular swords though, they have been infused with *something*, and as a result they can cut through anything. These swords are linked to your being, allowing you to materialize and dematerialize them at will. This means that you could throw them at an enemy to cut them in half from far away, and then materialize them back in your hands.
These tools will come in handy working your way out of the underground research lab you are being held in, but you must figure out how to utilize them to their maximum potential, or things may not end well for you.

Although the price is a bit high, if you're looking for a great game to screw around in and let off some stress, this is great. I shortened my experience in the game down to a pros and cons list. PROS: -Slicing things/people is fun -Flinging things/people is fun -Floating things/people and slicing them is fun -It's challenging -You can shoot things while slicing things or float things while shooting them etc. -Works out your arm muscles CONS: -Short, I finished it in under 2 hrs but didn't refund because I respect the devs ;) -Kinda glitchy at times -Only 2 voice actors -Only 1 song that plays during battle (I think, if there's 2 then they're very similar) -Can't move items towards or away or rotate while floating them without a big hassle -Price is kinda high Overall, I'd give it an 8/10. Had fun playing it, a bit pricey, pretty short, but very engaging to play.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
So there is a cool game here. A lot of the positive reviews are accurate. You do get a good workout. You have this cool telekenisis power that you can use for maximum carnage and mayhem. You can teleport around or move almost freely (snap turning 90 degrees). You get to slice and dice enemies with spawnable swords. You can also steal and use guns (but why would you use guns when you can grab objects and throw them!). There's a rock, paper, scissors quality to this game. Certain enemies you can defeat in any way, certain enemies are immune to telekenesis, certain are immune to swords (how is that possible, don't ask), and it all makes sense in this arcade-like combat game where the puzzles are how to efficiently clear the room (or the most fun/evil way to clear the room). And if this game were priced $9.99, I would say it's perfect for what it offers. However, this is a $19.99 game and at that price point, there's much b...
Its a good game but the index support is awful
Not worth it for Index users. There is no Index controller support, and only 1 usable community binding that doesn't work for anything other than movement. If you only have Index controllers, don't waste your money. I was hyped to play this game, but can't recommend it for anyone since it doesn't support the hardware it says it does. Hopefully, Index controllers will get supported in the future. If so I will try this game again.
Reviewed using HTC Vive Pro
Telekinesis never felt so good 👋 Escape by clearing each elevator floor of it's inferior staff attempting to hold you in a Secret Lab ⚗️ ✔️ Graphics, Sounds, Controls all are Great ✔️ Love the Enemy Physics as much as Enviro ✔️ Comical batter from the Hazmat Suit Men 🙃 https://youtu.be/xnlZpz8C8IU
[EDIT: 1/16/2021]: Wanted to check up on it after all this time, and it looks like the game's been abandoned. It's not that I dont recommend this game--it's just that I don't recommend this game right now. This game has a lot to offer, with its main selling point being the freedom with which you can slice objects and enemies. However, the fact of the matter is that right now, the combat just....isn't as clean as I would have hoped. Force isn't required to slice through objects, at least not much. A smooth verticle or horizontal motion can achieve the same effect as a rapid motion, and often to better results. I think this is a problem. It doesn't feel like there's any impact between my sword and the things I'm cutting through. I would equate the experience as similar to hitting air, much like combat in vanilla Skyrim. I discovered that as of right now, you can only slice through an enemy so many times--as opposed to a standard object like a desk, which can be sliced what seems to be ...
This game is not bad, but there is no proper index controller support.
It's a really fun game but it isn't very well optimized, as I still get some pretty nasty frame drops that really ruin the experience for me, as I can run most VR titles perfectly fine. The concept is dope to play in VR, however the game doesn't feel like a full release. As the sword cutting and telekinesis is fun but the jankiness of both mechanics can rob the experience. If the developers were willing to optimize the game further and fix the horrendous frame drops, I would be willing to recommend this game.
Think of it like Metal Gear Rising slice and dice!! meets force unleashed push and pull!! pretty awesome game! the level design is kind of lacking but with the awesome chopping physics I see why! I had a blast and finished it in a few hours! The controls are solid and the game makes you feel like a complete bada$$! hoping too see more levels, powers and enemies in the future! check it out!
