About This Game

30% of the revenue from sales will go to a charity every 2 months

In the last couple years many things happened in my life, my dad had a heart attack which he survived, and my mom had two surgeries, one of which was for cancer, thankfully she overcame it.

We overcame all of that together but all of that changed me and made me more thankful with life.

SO, MAKING THINGS SHORT, every two months I'm gonna donate 30% of the game's revenue to charity for cancer research, you can also vote and choose for another charity where I can donate.

That's all, thank you

[READ ME] YOUR FEEDBACK IS IMPORTANT

Hey guys. As you may already know, the game is in Early Access because the game is still in Pre-Alpha stage.

The story for this Pre-Alpha version is not the same as the one for the final version of the game but it's related, it tells a little about what the game is all about, you can call it Chapter 0.

Every new update, however, will be different from the last... a new iteration with different scenarios, environments, stories, experiences... each more gruesome than the last.

The story for the final game is already written but I want to make sure you have the best horror experience you can possibly have, this Pre-Alpha (and future updates leading to the final build) have the purpose of experimenting with your fears, make you feel fear in a way only few horror games do, I want this game to be unique.

YOU (THE COMMUNITY) MATTER, unlike other developers, I do listen so... talk to me, tell me your experience. Did i, fail making you feel horror? Why? Tell me how you feel about the game, I'll listen to all of you and make sure the next time things get more... gruesome.

That's all for now folks, have a great day/night!

And if you download this game, I hope you enjoy!

Cya! You'll hear from me again soon!

About the Game

This is the Pre-Alpha release of the game and does NOT represent the finished product. It's at a very early development stage so that means I'm open for suggestions for the next Alpha releases leading to the beta and final game.

Remember, YOU, the player, are the most important part of this project, your review/feedback will determine where this game will go.

I'm always active on forums and social media so I always listen to everyone's feedback, don't be shy to message me addressing any bug or stuff that should be changed.

Prelude is a psychological horror survival game, where you play as a guy who wakes up in a mysterious town, not having any idea of who he is and where he is.

Going from house to house, from place to place dealing with many horrid things along the way trying to find a way out.

The focus of this game is not using the same route as other classic horror games but to do something new, give you the feeling of hopelessness and fear of the unknown and unfathomable. Trying to survive in this world that was once the place you called home, completely isolated from friends and family, stuck in this infinite loop of despair and fear just looking for a way out of what you could call a nightmare.

You will have to figure out ways to overcome obstacles and also venture into the deepest darkness in order to advance, the game doesn't just focus on creatures chasing after you, it focus on making you lose your mind, slowly and steadily. Every inch of this game will attempt to crawl under your skin and make you feel like you're in a living nightmare.

The game will not just have random horror elements, each element will have a story, meaning or a hidden message that might either tell you more about the character's story, give you clues to advance through the game or tell you something... darker. The game will attempt to make you feel many kinds of horrors, including those of phobias, the feeling of being watched, of being chased, that your death is close and will be inevitable, make you feel like you're nothing but a tiny being in the vast sea of infinity.

The journey will get worse as you move forward and the player will eventually see the truth... and the rest is for you to find out for yourself.

Please select one of the following. This game: [ ] Has no audio. [ ] Has a bunch of empty buildings. [ ] Has the flashlight bound to the "Q" key. [ ] Has no monsters. [ ] All of the above. If you selected "All of the above" you are correct. This game is just a big empty town you wander around in during the day with absolutely NOTHING in it. DO NOT BUY THIS UNITY TUTORIAL!

"game is not for everyone" is not correct: this game is not for ANYONE. Pretty stupid gameplay based on that you must move in fully empty city and collect relics. each time when you found relic, you'll get small (creepy?) scene. Creepy? really? that would be creepy for 1990-x years, when programmers couldn't make something really creepy. there's it's not creepy, that stupid mobs in scenes EVEN NOT MOVING. 1/10 gameplay 3/10 atmosphere -inf/10 creepy.

I don't know what to do. I don't know where I am. I don't know where to go. I died. Still don't know what to do. Still don't know where to go. I died again.

Haha, I was scrolling my game library and saw this 'masterpiece' again. I bought it on release day way back in 2017 and while it had a single update or two, that was it. Developer kept saying things will change, new updates are on the way, but they never came. I had written a review prior, but later deleted it as I saw some hope of said 'new updates are coming', yet they never did and I forgot about it. If you're still developing this game dev, I can't wait to see the update, by now I expect the next update to be a full release as you had like what, 2 and a half years to work with ^_^ Edit: This piece of text probably ruined this game's development 'SO, MAKING THINGS SHORT, every two months I'm gonna donate 30% of the game's revenue to charity for cancer research, you can also vote and choose for another charity where I can donate'.. Don't say things you can't promise.

even though i beat it, to the point where you can no longer progress further i honestly am on the fence on this one, i want to recommend and not recommend this game, but will have to not recommend due to you literally will have to wonder around aimlessly until you figure it out. the first time i played i did just that, couple days later i gave it a second chance and a mentality of wanting to beat it. the game is basically you wonder around until you find relics and then deliver the relics, then repeat two more times.. if the dev would maybe add some sort of guide/tips along the way, it would save you around at least 1 hour of 1 1/2 hours of gameplay... then again this game was only $1.20 when i bought it, now is $2.30. not ever nor was ever a triple A game, don't expect much, just a game to play if you're browsing for some Indie Horror Games. this is my review.

sadly this game is still not finished, and there isn't really anything to do but explore a pretty boring map.

This game is unique, it is definitely not for everyone. But for a horror game built in Unity by one developer I felt like I really did get my $2 worth when it came to getting spooked. It took me a sec to get the swing of things but after a 45 play sesh I genuinely felt some fear and anxiety! So for the price and some a really good atmosphere, yes I recommend this game that's valued at two Arizona Iced Teas!
