A visual novel interspersed with minigames. Technically a 'mystery', though it's really unusual in how it plays out (you are mainly shooting down the fallacious reasoning of those around you). Not your usual VN by any means, weird as heck, very unique art and musical style, tons of charm. I really love it.

About This Game

Broken Minds is a murder-mystery visual novel set in 90s Japan.
When lonely 20-something Noa Karada finds herself being stalked by a mysterious killer in a rabbit mask known as The Orphan, she contacts the Yamagata Private Detective Agency for help. However, as her case grows more complex, the detectives grow more distant and eccentric. Perhaps Noa would’ve been better off never letting them into her life at all…

Because you are playing as a client, and not as a detective or a lawyer, the gameplay consists of logic and reading comprehension puzzles based on Noa arguing with the detectives about the solution of the mystery.

• Explorable environments
• Many choices & hidden secrets throughout
• Six different endings
• Over an hour of original music
• Flowchart to help navigate routes

So LockedOn was a weeb after all
Loved it, honestly I think the creator is not charging enough for this game. I have just got the 6th ending and every play through offered something different, whether it was the protagonist being a sociopath one time and a timid loser the next, a few lines of dialog, or an entirely different outcome, I never had the same experience twice. The puzzles are interesting and require you to pay attention to the story, which I think is a great addition to a murder mystery. I particularly liked picking fallacy's out of your opponents argument. The soundtrack wasn't a “Skyrim” or “Child of Light” or anything, but I'd buy it if it was a DLC, it was good background noise for figuring out the puzzles on the first play through. I will defiantly recommend this to someone who likes a well thought murder mystery and a protagonist who can change every route. PS: I still haven't gotten the 2 additional true endings but I have a feeling they will satisfy.
super underrated game- art style is really cool, characters are goofy and its fun to explore all the different endings
Broken Minds shows a lot of promise in how it turns traditional detective vns on their head. Rather then your detectives being always logical super geniuses you have ti argue against their shitty logic. On top of that the game makes an admirable swing at the danganronpa style logic puzzle minigames. Unlike danganronpa where the game basically solves itself here you need to use actual logic in the minigames which is nice even if the actual solutions can be a little too rigid and touchy. Still the story and writing feel a little undercooked like this definitely feels like a set up to a more interesting sequel, so I am looking foreward to that.
The run I had was very short and ended in an unsatisfying conclusion, with a final story full of holes. I'm not sure if this is the actual solution to the mystery, or if I could have gotten a different results by making choices which I had no way to guess how they influenced the investigation.
A great experience overall. Has some impressive visuals and although the logic puzzles required some trial and error, it was a fun concept and the process was very forgiving. Definitely deserves more exposure
