It's rare for me to recommend a Kemco game. ... Like very rare. However, if there was a Kemco game that I would recommend anyone get, it would be this game. There is a feel of it that is pretty cool. Maybe it's because going 'retro fantasy game' lowers the expectations. However, as a video game, it is very enjoyable and it is definitely worth having if you enjoy RPGs. It's definitely classic in the old Dragon Quest format feel.

I just finished this game a few minutes ago and I have to say that I enjoyed playing this one from front to end. The storyline of this game is extremely engaging and not dull at all. There are so many characters and job skills to acquire as well as acquiring many skills along the way. If you have ever played SNES Paladin's Quest, some of the characters physical attack skills you have to sacrifice a little bit of HP in order to unleash a devastating attack to the enemy. There is also one main ending and after finishing the game after playing through the epilogue: 3 more endings to unlock. The only thing that I will gripe on is the music. Loved the opening theme but the battle theme after listening to it for 5 minutes made me want to listen to something else. All and all if you are a fan of JRPGs, and you aren't offended by RPG Maker graphics I would highly suggest picking this one up for yourself.
This might actually be a more enjoyable experience, than the bulk of the games it lovingly emulates.
Ah Kemco you do not dissapoint. This time in 8 bit! This game actually changes quite a bit of how Kemco normally does stuff to make a rather fresh game. First and foremost is that once you get the ship there's no 'easy' mode which allows you to easily grind to max level. There is a bonus dungeon that requires you to beat 5 other optional dungeons to unlock, but overall its not hard to unlock it but the final challenges in it are BRUTALLY hard. Sure you will be overlevelled for the finale but for Kemco that's kind of expected. Plus its rather hard to get really OP in this game since your units will never be super powerful and only your leaders can obtain true OP-ness however its kind of limited to only 1 of your 3 leaders unless you excessively grind. So that's a good step up from other Kemco games. Plus a lot of the classes in this honestly have a hard time dealing damage, to the point that you use most classes only till you've mastered them, so you get their passives perma...
I have to say this game is really great. For what they were going for they were spot on. Definitely a nice JRPG with a variety of customization and very well optimized. I recommend it.
Very early into the game but so far it is absolutely LOVELY and great!! Reason being? There are SO MANY UNIQUE FEATURES in this game, it's really awe-inspiring and remarkable! Open-ended Job system, all sorts of interesting party-based mechanics, a bunch of followers to use in whatever Formations or Tactics you want, with each providing unique bonuses and options. There's a LOT here, and it's very very classy and well implemented. Combat is fun, a huge world is there to explore and the music and graphics are sweet too! I will be playing this much more in future, thank you KEMCO for making these awesome RPGs!
Absolutely boring. I gave up at the opening.
So I guess this was a mobile game 1st but it does not feel like one. I can kind of see it because the graphics do seem to have been low resolution pixel graphics that have been up-scaled but it feels like an old NES game instead and that is a good thing. I have enjoyed this game and have no complaints. The instructions do not indicate this but the game works with my controller just fine, the keyboard works as well and if you really want to the mouse controls the game instructs you to use are actually good as well. This is classic 1980's JPRG style here, not fancy graphics and big epic movies and the writing is on that scale as well. Younger gamers might dislike that but I grew up with those games, this was a perfect fit and hey, that writing is better than the common RPG maker stuff floating around steam!
Amazing game any retro rpg gamer should own this. Graphics are amazing, has controller support. Classic retro like gem.
