Mega Man X Legacy Collection is a thoughtfully curated compilation that brings together the first four games of the iconic Mega Man X series, delivering a nostalgic yet polished experience that both longtime fans and newcomers can appreciate. Capcom’s decision to package these titles together not only preserves the core action-platforming gameplay that made the franchise a staple of the 16-bit era but also enhances it with modern conveniences, thoughtful extras, and quality-of-life improvements that make revisiting these classics a joy rather than a challenge. From the moment you start the collection, it’s clear that Capcom put considerable care into maintaining the original feel of the games. Each title retains its tight, responsive controls, intricate level design, and memorable boss battles that defined the series. The progression through the games offers a satisfying sense of escalation, from the relatively straightforward stages and enemies of the first Mega Man X to the more...

What to say? It's Mega Man X with its awesome, heart-pumping rock music. It Improves on the classic Mega Man formula by giving you a mid-air dash. I have a love-hate relationship with platformers. I love overcoming difficult levels and then memorising and dashing through them on repeat visits. But I hate instant deaths and this series has tons of that: bottomless pits, spikes, lava. While classic Mega Man only lets you jump, offering no meaningful way to correct a missed or miss-timed input, X gives you more mid-air control allowing a chance to recover. Picture this: you cross a gap with a tight jump and at the apex of the jump an enemy spawns in and hovers towards you. You would have made the jump but if that randomly spawned enemy touches you, you'll become unable to move while you flinch and you'll drop into the bottomless pit below you. Classic Mega Man: nothing you can do, you die and try again, now knowing about the unfair spawn points. X: option to recover with a mid-air das...

From its beginnings, the first three games of the Megaman X series hold up very nicely. The soundfonts used to create the soundtrack are my favorite part of the series as a whole. From playing these before on consoles, the feel really stuck with me for a long time. The controls and gameplay are what made it influential and inspirational in a lot of ways. What made it stand out from the series is its unique grit.

An amazing collection of some of the best action platformer games of all time, a solid 9.5/10. This is easily the better of the two Megaman X Collection's, Megaman X1- X4 are terrific games, especially X4 with it's cool anime cutscenes, and intricate story line. Just make sure you use a guide to find the heart tanks, energy tanks, and armor pieces so you can actually beat them. There's also a mod you can install to switch Megaman X4 to use Japanese dialogue for the best experience possible.

Don't have a great deal of time in yet, but this really brings back the memories of playing some of these great games back in the 90s on my old Super Nintendo. I think the move to pc for these is pretty good so far, but of course haven't gotten to far in them as of writing this.

this is really awesome for the most part but i genuinely enjoyed x6 more than launch octopus idk wtf it is about him but hes the most frustrating boss in the entire goddamn franchise can this MOTHERUFCKER STOP DODGING ALL MY FUCJCIFJN ATTACKS edit: ok i finished x1, launch octopus wasnt actually that bad, the spider at sigma stage 1 is that bad though whoever designed that should have 9000 launch octopus fish thrown at them

This is such a really great package deal. With this you get the first 4 Mega Man X games, music tracks, art gallery, and product gallery of things all through out the years. Along with the Day of Sigma animated video from the PSP remake (though you can't control the video to my knowledge) and cool boss rush challenge. I believe it is very much worth it with the only downside being this was split up between so packages for all the games with I think is kinda stupid. Now for the games themselves they are really great, fast paced, action 2D platformers that really hold up. Mega Man X - Fantastic Game that is really well made and designed with a really cool stage changing gimmick after defeating a specific boss as well as awesome weapons to use. Mega Man X2 - Does mostly the same as the first game minus the changing stages and replaces it with 3 bosses that change location after a stage if you don't find them. Not as good since you have to go out of your way to get to them. Also the weap...
