I had several nonogram/picross books as a kid and got this game out of nostalgia. While the game is pretty, the difficulty level is very low on the majority of the puzzles. I kept playing bigger puzzles in "The Greatest" set hoping that the difficulty would go up with the dimensions, but it the designs actually seemed to get lazier. These are the 3 major reasons why many designs didn't provide a fun challenge: 1) Huge swaths of areas can be covered by just filling in the numbers as written with zero deduction, because no extra blanks were left between the numbers for those rows/columns. 2) Several borders are fully or nearly fully filled in, giving puzzles an incredibly easy starting point. 3) Lots of symmetrical designs make game-solving very uninteresting.
