About This Game

Blink: Rogues is a fast-paced top-down shooter that brings combat tactics, sharp reflexes and multi-lane combat under the same roof. Fire rockets, shotgun or railgun, flip your ship, jump to the other lane and chase the perfect score. Steal the opponent's power-ups or simply frag him!

GAME MODES:

TOURNAMENT PVP:

So you want to get the fraggin' party started? We’ve got you covered with a tournament mode for up to 8 players, with customizable styles (league, brackets), challenges and duration.

STORY MODE:

Put your skills to the test and play through Blink's increasingly difficult campaign mode. Fight your way through the hand crafted enemy waves and reach the maximum star rating for each and every level. Show the world what you got and challenge the top leaderboard position!

SURVIVAL:

So you have finished the story mode, got a few stars, even. But can you complete all the missions, one after the other, with only one ship?

COOP:

You and a friend are trying to destroy increasingly difficult and increasingly faster waves of enemies. You can choose between powerful modifiers, but each enemy that escapes will make you lose a bit of HP. How long can you last with only three ships?

VERSUS AI:

Top your game by playing our well trained AI buddy.

Grab a friend, get two controllers and go fragging! Hitting a blink+flip+rocket_in_the_face combo makes me happy inside :) Also cool music/graphics. The only thing missing is online multiplayer, hopefully they'll add it in the future.

This game brings memories of Raptor: Call of the Shadows...Heh. Blink Rogues it's nice and it has super engaging battles however some parts of the game can be improved upon release. Disclaimer: I only played single player and here are some things that I think they need some improvments 1) Art The backgrounds(lands) are way too realistic in compare with the ships and the enemies. In my opinion they are from a different movie. 2) Mechanics and Gameplay I like the split screen thing and the fact that you can telport to the other player screen. But I think the main mechanic is underused. I didn't had many moments throughout the game where I need to use it as my screen was pack with enemies and you don't have time to teleport to the other screen as you are too focus on your part. Think on more ways how to use this mechanic in the game (eg. Go and fight more bosses where you need teleport/ some enemies that are harder to kill can also teleport/ more respiro moments on your side) Visual...

Gameplay is fun and action packed. Competive mode is cute. With more types of scenarios and enemies this could be a very awesome title. At this point it is worth its price tag. Looking forward to new content. PS:Dialogues seem as fi written by CleverBOT

Disclaimer: I'm friends with the devs and helped out a bit with coding The gameplay is an attempt to spice up the classical shmup game mode with two parallel screens which you can switch between. Enemies and power ups spawn in either, so you have to switch at opportune times. There's also a local pvp mode with two players where both can invade each other's screen in order to steal the points and power ups, turning it into a bloody fun competition. The graphics are simplified, but easy to understand, and the screen switching is easy to pull off once you get used to it. It's rough around the edges, but it is an interesting game.

Disclaimer : I know the developers . This doesn't look like a finished product but like something halfway through Early access . The combat game play is decent and the simple graphics help you focus on your targets. But everything else ? The music is monotonous at its best and beside the Blink mechanic , the rest of your actions don't have sounds . The campaign is just a tutorial without any story or motivation for the player to complete the missions. No sense of progress or options to customize your ship. The enemies design and animations are .. dry :( Maybe is fun in multiplayer, but i don't play competitive multiplayer games. I will review this again if there is a serious content update to it !

This game came a long way from where it was 1 year ago. It has a totally different feel right now! All in all its a fun little game to play and relax! :)

Clean graphics, smooth controls and a high skill level cap, make this game very enjoyable in a very short time. The game unique mechanics really shine in multi-player, but I do expect more weapons and special powers once released.

I usually don't write reviews, but a short gameplay session was enough to make me realise that Blink: Rogues truly deserves one. A good one. :) At a first impression I can say that this game perfectly incorporated challenge with relaxation, two concepts in total opposition, and I think this balance is pretty hard to achieve. By this I refer to the fact that in PVP game mode you can actually teleport on the other side of the screen (I find this original and super interesting), even if you are trying to either run of your own side enemies nor kill as much as them. There are also some interesting maps in the story mode that I can't wait to try after I finish this review. In terms of the design, I simply love it. The colours chosen and the music just fit perfect, the look of the flying ships is simple and quite intricate at the same time. The game is quite fast itself, but not in a tiring way, while the background is simpler to allow the player to focus on the action. It's so satisfyi...

It has plenty of clever ideas, but the execution lacks.
