About This Game

Neon defense is a minimalistic tower defense game with elements of a puzzle game.
You have to beat waves of enemies to defend a map.

The twist between this and normal tower defense games is that enemies in this games have special abilities which make it necessary to find a way how to beat them. In most maps you cannot simply build a defense line with towers, you also need to analyse the enemies and find a way how you can beat them. Use 4 different towers and their special attack way, aiming with the mouse and mouse gestures to defend the maps against the enemies.

The game is easy to learn but hard to beat.

Features:
- 20 levels + 3 Bosses
- Easter Egg
- Around 30 different enemies, half of them with special abilities to defend theirselfs.
- Minimalistic design
- 3 Difficulties
- Steam Achievements
- 4 different towers, each comes with 3 upgrade tiers
- 1 Special Tower only in Boss level
- Cloudsave

Simple enough Tower defense game with a minimalistic style. You either love it or hate it. It can get quite slow at times tho, so if there is just one last tanky enemie and you have your gunners/snipers... to widespread it could take a while...

Nice little puzzle game in the style of an tower defense game. Pro: - Varied levels in different difficulties - Levels are short, so it's a nice game for in between breaks - Price for that amount of content more than fair - Not a no brainer Neutral (because its a matter of taste): - Some levels feel maybe a little bit too hard, if you play them directly on hard (gold), but playing easy (bronze) first and see layout and figuring out the required mechanic helps in this case - Even if all levels are have a way to solve it guaranteed without losing a life: some levels can feel like they are dependent on the accuracy of the towers, which is okay for me, but the feeling of "a puzzle should have atleast one fix solution, but maybe i done it wrong or maybe not?" is there sometimes.

I think this game *looks* pretty bad. Some ugly stretched sprites and some awful color choices. And If you play this at night and then go to sleep then you'll see neon-monsters in inverted colors on your eyelids! You don't get many towers to play with and there is no meta-progressions between levels which always makes me sad. :( It means this game plays like a puzzle game with a series of "closed-room problems". I think missing out on leveling up stuff in a TD is a mistake. Sure, the level-balancing can be made much tighter, but now the game has to live on difficulty alone. I miss a speed-up button. It's sometimes very painful. To the developer: Go and play level 2 on easy just for fun, and tell me how fun you think that really is (it does get better later on when there is more action, but still...) But this game deserves upvotes. It's plenty good compared to many better-looking, more expensive games. It has a decent amount of content, and while I think some levels are very gimmick...

Good value for money minimalist Tower Defense game. It normally takes a couple of runs to sort out the tactics. This is a game about the timing of tower location, placement and tower upgrades. It will keep you on your toes!! A speed up button would be useful for some sections of the game.

This is a nice simple game, but I am pretty sure it is a scam. It comes with the promise of loot drops that you can both use to help you in game as well as trading and selling on the market. These drops never occured so I was not able to progress very far in the game.

The Developer has shown great commitment to making the game appealing to people activly updating on request and being very polite However I still dislike this game mosty due to what I look for in a TD game, Satifiyingly building up a power base until you're unstoppable and this game has minimal animation to make it satisfying to watch and the limited tower slots prevent the build up of power from being all that fun to build, the restricted slot also remove a key part of the strategy of TD games , namely tower placement. overall nice concept , good effort , but it ain't swing it for me
