This game is still in early access at the time I am writing this review, overall I enjoyed the first chapter of the game, the mechanics are fun and simple and the enemies/bosses as well as the environments have interesting designs. I am going to make a list of pros and cons about the game to this point and then elaborate on why. Pros: - Gameplay (movement and combat) - Dialogue/lore - Textures and design - Collectables/exploration Cons: (keep in mind this is in early access and some of these things might change) - The save system - Difficulty - Gltches and bugs in general (mostly small things and is to be expected in early access) *Spoiler Warning* If you are looking to play this game and don't want any spoilers on the story or anything of the sort stop here and go play the game First of all we have the gameplay, for this I'm including all of the movement/platforming as well as combat, both of these took some getting used to but are actually very responsive and fun once you get t...

Really enjoyed playing this game! The easy controls made it a breeze to pickup and play at any time. Wether you're stressed and need to decompress by getting lost in a fantasy world or you're taking it easy and want to play a relaxed game while still maintaining high reward and satisfaction this game covers all the bases.
This is what Early Access is all about. Nice start to a project that is fun to play with some nice gameplay and puzzles to keep you exploring. Unlike what many other cash grabbing Early Accesses are, this one has you tune into live streams of the development, and they take the feedback from the players and implement the stuff that makes sense. - Cool, unique, project - not like every other title coming out. - Fun, intuitive, gameplay. - Lots of exploring to do. - Puzzles to keep things fresh. - Nice artwork! - Dev team that implements feedback. - True Early Access! Great start, and a project worthy of following along and seeing where the devs get it to go. Looking forward to seeing this develop over time! Well done, Rabbit Hole Studios!
Started playing this today and so far I love it. The controls are responsive, the atmosphere is really nice, and the soundtrack is very fitting. The combat is a bit of a learning curve at first but becomes second nature in it pretty quickly. Definitely worth getting.
I normally only write reviews for completed games but I'm writing a review for this due to the fact that this game feels unfinished. What I mean by this is that the frame rate isn't the best. This game's visuals I thnk look exceptionally nice, however, if the frame rate was upped by like 5 or 10 fps this game would probably run exceedingly smoothly. The other major downside is that there is no native controller support for the game. That makes the entire thing relatively hard to play with keyboard (tank) controls. So until such things are improved I cannot give this a positive rating.
nice little game to play. Easy to catch on to. still an earily asscess worth picking up and a nice game to pass time and fun to play.
Art Direction - Top Notch Design Concept - Pleasing Story - Unfolds Nicely Game Play - Simple and enjoyable Level Design - Lots to explore For a first game release Rabbit Hole Studios is not slacking. The Team is working non stop to make sure the game has charm while bringing in hints of curiosity. The ambient mood allows the player to take time to really appreciate the little details while trying to solve the bigger picture that represents facing our fears. I cant wait to continue to play in The Lost Gardens as the game expands!
TLG is a visually creative game with a focus on exploration and puzzles with a hearty amount of combat sprinkled through. It was really fun playing through the first chapter of this game, and I'm looking forward to seeing the progression as future chapters are released. Keep up the good work!
Simple Controls, Great Art. HATS. Good Music and an amazing dev team. Unlike most Early Access games you know Rabbit Hole Studios is hard at work making this an even better game because you can watch them do it on twitch almost everyday.
Easy to pick up and play immediately because simple controls make for a quick sense of comfort with gameplay. I like the style of the art, and find it fits well with the games other aethetics. The story is compelling enough to keep you in explore-mode while just getting your bearings. The music is a good fit, and fits the look and feel of the game itself. As for difficulty, I haven't gotten very far in it yet, but I am finding it reasonably challenging in terms of platform jumping and the risk of health loss in water. The map is fun to run around in, and I look forward to what kind of trouble I will get myself in to by accidentally accessing areas not intended for a noob, lol. Good game so far, I definitely recommend it to anyone thinking it over. Besides, the price in very cheap. I've paid more for games I've enjoyed less.
