About the Game

The Wild Age is a micromanagement strategy game with tower defense gameplay mechanics. The game is designed mainly for a peaceful and relaxed gaming experience that offers a break from the busy realities of life.

In the game, you take on the role of the new ruler, who is tasked with creating a new, fully independent settlement on several islands.

It is necessary to hire villagers and fulfill the main task for each island. However, it will not be easy, as every night enemy goblins attack your settlement, thus hindering your efforts. As a ruler, you can only give orders using a single raw currency in the game (coins). Your villagers carry out the tasks and their roles according to your decisions: repairing/constructing buildings, harvesting materials, hunting animals and guarding the walls.

Meeting the goal is not always easy and you have plenty of options to develop your strategy.
Completing main tasks in the main campaign will unlock special rewards for smoother passage throughout the game.

YOUR CHARACTER

 • There are several avatars and mounts available.
 • Each avatar and mount has different attributes that will change your approach to the game.
 • Several kinds of unlockable pets will follow and aid you throughout the campaign.
 • Ability to customize coins, the coin bag and the coat of arms of the settlement.
 • To unlock some options, it is necessary to complete the main tasks of the campaign.
 • It is possible to edit the avatar settings at any point in the game.

YOUR HELPERS

 • Builder - builds and improves buildings.
 • Forester - chops trees and clears wooded locations to further expand your settlement.
 • Farmer – provides a stable supply of coins before the winter comes.
 • Archer - hunts wild animals during the day and defends your settlement at night. Archers can change their positions and adapt to the defend the settlement.

YOUR DECISION

 • Ability to cancel an action already entered.
 • Ability to destroy an already built structure.
 • Ability to change your character and mount.
 • Ability to create an island according to your ideas and share with your friends.

The Wild Age is inspired by the "Kingdom" game series, and we do not intend to keep this a secret. At first glance, it may be a mere conversion of the game into 3D, but the opposite is true.
From our point of view, it is as more about the evolution of a very interesting concept which deserves further development.

We want to offer players the similar gameplay but enriched with new features which we find interesting and beneficial for the game as a whole.

Its a straight up clone of Kingdom. It does have some improvements over Kingdom like knowing how much money is in your bank and how much interest you're earning, but not just the concept or gameplay was copied. The cost of walls and units, the cost of hiring new villagers, even the jobs you train your people to do, with the single exception of the worthless woodcutter, at least in Kingdom your builders chop your trees. Let me quote the devs for you: McMagic Productions [developer] Mar 16, 2019 @ 12:17pm Originally posted by Xariot: "As long as you add new things and make the game your own there's really not a problem with making a game inspired by another game, just be cautious of 1:1 feature copy. Just making it in a 3D engine with everything else playing exactly the same isn't enough to say it's a different game. Look at Satisfactory compared to Factorio. The games are clearly similar but the aren't identical in features. Enough is different between the two of them beyond just...

TL;DR: The game is a blatant ripoff of another much better game, 'Kingdom: New Lands' and all of it's derivatives. This is NOT a good game to play if you have the option to play Kingdom, as this has less content than Kingdom, and just generally looks and plays worse. The only difference is the 3-D perspective, but they don't utilize it, it's a gimmick in trying to make itself at least a tiny bit different from Kingdom. But guess what, there is nothing else different that I could find in the short amount of playtime I could bare. I'm also pretty sure it's an asset flip, as I've seen this exact style in other (freemium) games like World War Polygon and Walking Zombie 2. Please don't buy this, go buy Kingdom instead, you'll find it's a much more atmospheric, charming, and fun game. Don't support these hacks. Kingdom: New Lands and all of it's other games is one of the coolest little strategy micromanagement games I've ever played. And it's not even little, it just seems that way at first...

This game is the instant strategy with spirit of good old games like the first Warcrafts. It's simple to learn but still enought tactical. The graphics are simple but tuned and pleasant to the eyes. It's a very addictive and has excellent gamepad support (X Box One in my case)

Sometimes you just want to get away from intense gaming and play something fun on the side while watching a movie/series. This game delivers it all, it's fun and has a familiar feeling to it that you are instantly going to love. Rules are simple and there isn't anything that could turn you off and it's so far bug free despite being an early access game having played it for over 5 hours. Edit: So I had some minor issues with this game and a major one which was the global blur being applied to my 3440x1440 resolution to the point I couldn't play the game anymore as my eyes wouldn't stop watering but devs came to rescue and issued a quick hotfix to sort out my issue.

I've previously played Kingdom, which has a fun concept. However, there's hardly any contact at all. Once you've played the demo that's pretty much what you can expect from the rest of the game. Not worth £11 in my honest opinion. I'm sorry to say that I cannot recommend this game even though I really like the concept.

I originally tried the demo of this game and thought the first ''Level'' was pretty cool. Its very simple but it just feels so lacking. For example, i couldn't remember something simple like info about meadows and how certain things affect animals coming. So half way through the second game i was confused. Forget wtf i was supposed to be doing. Ended up dying and feeling frustrated as there's no in game info you can bring up to refresh yourself. It feels clunky when my horse wont eat. Even though im clicking it to eat -_- The way the info on things comes up feels slow and a pain in the butt. You have to be literally sitting still on the building for like 5 seconds for its info to pop up. It is so freaking boring when your playing blind. (It hand holds you for the first 5 minutes then dumps you and your like wtf?) It would be so much better if in the first levels each time a new building or ''thing'' happens then it gives you a little cinematic or run down of what this is, what it mea...

The Wild Age honours its source material and the move to a 3D environment makes sense. The game can be immensely enjoyable for the first few hours but that gives way to bland routine later. The REALLY bad thing are the controls: it is ackward, with odd turning speed and hard to control. Unlike the original game, which is simple, fast and intuitive. In fact, I stopped playing due to ackward movement.

I don't give a darn about copycatting or such. If the game good then it's good. While it looks good and seems fun at beginning it will nosedive at the end due to sharp fps drops. After you reach a certain amount of units game's fps will drop to 10-30 from to fixed 100. Hope they will fix that problem so i can try again at the future date. But till then, it's an absolutely NO from me.

This is probably one of the better early access games as it already has a decent amount of content and so far i havnt experienced any bugs or crashes that ruin the experience of the game. The graphics look pretty nice, the contents fun and enjoyable and its one of the games where you can just sit down and relax and play. Cant wait to see where the devs take this game and what future content lies down the road.

Pathing is atrocious and the game does one of the biggest crime a game can make, namely
being boring and not fun
. The screenshots on the store page look way better than the actual game too. This game could be 2D and it would change literally nothing by the way, considering the level design is in a way that there's no two gameplay elements side by side .They are all stretched out in a tunnel level design following each other in a row. The 3D is just a gimmick here.
