In this puzzle game you have to solve 50 levels. You have to remove bars and hope, that the rest of them still in position, when you click on launch. For every level you get an achievement. I enjoyed this game and the relaxing atmosphere.

It´s not as easy as it looks^^ Es ist nicht so einfach wie es aussieht^^
Only worth it during the sale since the game is very easy. Well since I enjoy puzzle games, I found it easy. Finished it in 45 minutes. I thought the 50th level was going to be tough but ended up being super easy. I think the overall idea of the game was clever. It has the right idea of becoming a decent puzzle game. If you are an achievement hunter and want to 100% games, this is for you because it'll be 100% in an hour.
In short: It's a janky gamified physics simulation with poorly implemented controls and UI. It's very short, overpriced and little fun. For the full review I'd like to start with a word of warning: The store page says that "integraded cards may not work". Indeed, for me playing on an Intel HD 4000 lead to pretty bad lag and stuttering. I should have paid attention, so I feel like I can't fault the developer for my technical issues. To their credit: The game still ran and I was able to complete it. Disclaimer: Even though for the rest of the review I'll try to critique the game as if it ran properly, my issues may still taint my over-all impression. Each level presents you with a bunch of delicately balanced blocks stacked on top of each other. The main and really only mechanic is to rotate the camera and remove a pre-defined number of blocks by clicking on them. Then you run the simluation and if within a few seconds no blocks hit the floor y...
A nice little relaxing puzzle game, though also not extraordinary by any means. Each level poses you with a rudimentary construction of blocks and then a click count of blocks that need to be removed before you can "Launch" and see how things hold up after a tiny drop with physics enabled. If the construction stays together, you win the level. If it tumbles apart, you just return to the beginning state and try again. Roughly a third of the 50 levels I was able to pass successfully on the first attempt, while most others took 2-3 tries. Oddly there's not much of what can be called a difficulty curve, the majority of levels only needing 2 or 3 blocks removed. The number of removal clicks in the final few levels does grow, but by then you probably have a good sense about the types of structures to aim for and it also becomes a bit silly how obvious the unnecessary blocks are. Being frank, I feel like the creator got a bit bored working on the game and just wanted it done. I felt that mo...
It's good if you need some achievements with letters to joke a bit.
Bars and Balance is a relaxing puzzle game with minimalistic graphics. In each of the 50 levels the game offers you have the same task, remove a certain number of bars, and make the whole structure not fall over. It’s not a very long game, but definitely deserves a recommendation for puzzle fans when it goes on sale. Bars and Balance is also a good pic for Achievement Hunters, since each Puzzle rewards its own Achievement.
I think this is a great little physics puzzler that justifies its modest price tag. Pros: - Well implemented balance/moment physics based puzzles. - Deterministic solutions. - Visually simple but with an appealing aesthetic. - 50 puzzles. Cons: - Only took me just over an hour to complete. - Too many achievements, if you can 100% percent a game with 50 achievements in an hour, it somewhat cheapens the sense of accomplishment from achievements. - Some will find most of the puzzles to be a little on the easy side.
Pretty fun little puzzler. not too hard but not too easy. Definitely recommend it.
Bars and Balance is a physics puzzle game. The music creates a soothing ambience and the graphics/UI are quite nice, but I'm not a fan of the whole 'feel' of the game. Everything feels a little slow or sluggish, although the game works fine either way. There are 50 puzzles where you have to find the correct pieces to remove in order to keep balance, usually needing multiple tries per level and taking note of where your 'construction' fails so you can try and counterbalance another way next time. Really, it was a rather fun experience as far as puzzle games go. I did get two levels where the whole thing went crashing down but not quick enough for the 'Congratulations' prompt to appear, meaning they both counted as if I finished them legitimately. That's weird, but excusable I guess as it only happened in 4% of the levels. The game has no replayability and is only half an hour long, so keep that in mind while purchasing. Overall, a sweet and short physics game with 50 levels, testing ...
