About the Game

You are a highly qualified, sharp-witted astrobiologist named Yasna. Being entangled in a space race, you and your crew end up on the unexplored planet Regis III. The scientific journey quickly turns into a search mission for lost crewmates. Follow its trail, but be fully aware that every decision you make can bring you closer to danger.

On her journey, Yasna will face decisions that will shape the outcome of the story. Help her make difficult choices and witness one of 11 possible endings to the deeply philosophical story.

Discover fragments of what’s lost and report to your Astrogator. Let his voice aid you during hard times when humanity’s greatest threat emerges. The latter will force you to rethink mankind’s ambitions and biases. Go on - make decisions, follow the mystery… but remember not to underestimate the brutal simplicity and brilliance of evolution.

Robots, people… Choose whether to interact with different creatures on Regis III or how to do it. Friend, companion? Enemy? You never suspected what these words might really mean before you got here.

Immerse yourself in the atompunk atmosphere by using various tools, such as a telemeter or a tracker, and drive a vehicle through a stunning landscape. Experience realistic interactions with analogue technologies in a retro futuristic timeline.

The Invincible is a first-person game based on the motifs of The Invincible - an iconic novel of the world-known, hard science-fiction author and Polish futurologist Stanisław Lem.

There are places like Regis III, not prepared for us and for which we are not prepared. Still, our spacecraft inevitably comes closer to the destination - for our stories and fates to cross in a dead spot.

The Invincible is a narrative-driven, first-person sci-fi adventure developed by Starward Industries and based on the 1964 novel by Polish author Stanisław Lem. Set on the mysterious planet Regis III, the game merges retro-futurism with philosophical storytelling, invoking comparisons to works like Firewatch, Deliver Us The Moon, and Soma, but with its own, cerebral identity. Gameplay consists mostly of exploration, dialog choices, and interaction with scientific equipment. The experience leans heavily on environmental storytelling—you uncover what happened to your crew and what’s really going on by examining clues, reading logs, and engaging in conversations. The lack of combat reinforces the cerebral tone, but also limits variety. Without spoiling much, The Invincible centers around a mission gone wrong and the search for answers in a hostile, unknowable alien environment. It's deeply philosophical, rooted in "hard" sci-fi concepts. The game tackles questions...

I really wanted to like this game, as I love PROPER sci-fi, not the BS we usually get these days. So, I fired up this game, expecting the so-called "hard sci-fi" experience. What I got was, from my initial experience: #1: A female dominated game, with emotions and feelings-centred dialogue, and very little actual science #2: Stupid additions to the plot, that betrays minimal understanding of basic physics in a sci-fi game. Like having a pond of water on a desert planet with minimal or no atmosphere #3: Telling a story with a typical amateur setup, which demands the least from the script writers. Ie. waking up with amnesia, constantly talking about your own basic actions, instead of exploring actual science-based mysteries. "Oh, look at my thing here". "Oh, let's climb down here." "Oh, that's a nice view" "Oh, I feel confused." "Oh, this feels strange." etc..etc..etc... Where has the talent and imagination gone, and the intelligence and proper genre knowledge? This is the same...

Great ride, enjoyed discovering the secrets of Regis III. Basically, I got what I expected, and it was fun, but didn't get that special extra mile. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, "Firewatch in space", as many have told before. I haven't read Stanislaw Lem's original book, so everything was new to me, although certain elements of the narrative line were a bit predictable, however, that didn't destroy the experience. The mysteries, the great voice acting, the raw beauty of the barren vistas supported with the bit of eerie, yet electric music, combined with the 50's and 60's atompunk aesthetic style delivered it. You can feel lost on an alien planet, but also get excited just to be there and wandering around, discovering what's there, or what could have been there millions of years ago. I did some research about the book, and I think devs did a really nice job with the adaptation. There were some changes, of course, for example, Yasna, the main protagonist is a completely new char...

You won’t believe it, but today’s the day. The day we actually talk about cozy, warm-lamp sci-fi, about galactocentrism, retrofuturism, and about reclaiming our very own 1963, when Stanisław Lem published one of the most influential novels of the era… A novel I’ve reread four times at different ages, and each time… I couldn’t remember it. Which is weird, because I have a phenomenal memory. The fact that I have this strange amnesia about one single book — that itself feels like a mystery. So when I launched the game, I was ready to compare it to the source material. I had read it, right? …Or hadn’t I? Wait a second — why are there human bite marks on this soap? Well, not quite “the source material.” The Invincible isn’t a straight video game “adaptation” of the novel, but a prequel. You play as a female astronaut, Yasna, who arrives on the barren, enigmatic Regis III to find out why the previous expedition has gone silent. You walk slowly. Bre...

Like Playing a Novel! It may be a waling simulator but the story kept me on the edge the entire game!

I wish I read the top review first. It really is a walking simulator. I'm not interested in making a 2 hour game take 6 hours to finish by making me move slower. I can't even explore because it takes to long to move. Play testing must have had a higher speed or the poor beta testers would have taken forever to test anything. Now that I type that I wonder if the developer played the game at the slow walking speed they forced on me. Might even try it again if I could speed the protagonist up. And if I'm not making any decisions than the single path the developer decided on just make a movie and don't waste my time press keys when prompted on screen. I guess there's more than one ending but you'd have to be a glutton for punishment to play this a second time. The only reason I can see this being a video game is a game must make more money at $20 than a art film would bring in.

It’s a slow-paced sci-fi game with a strong story and amazing atmosphere. No action, just exploration and a lot to think about. It stuck with me — definitely one of the most interesting games I’ve played this year.

Beautiful and very immersive. Mysterious, sometimes creepy, 1 small jumpscare. Accidently went out of bounds 3 times and story got stuck 2 times, but was always fixed by loading last checkpoint.

The game is a total walking simulator just like others have said. Graphics are decent but game play and story are super boring.
