About This Game

A thousand years have passed since the last great war between the demons and the gods. Lulled into a false sense of security and having forgotten the ways of alchemy, humans find themselves at the mercy of the invading demons, who wage a new war to repay their past humiliation.
Cities fall, fortresses are in ruins and young children are abducted from their homes. In this chaos, a young girl named Raji is chosen by the gods to be the sole defender of the human race.

A Story of Siblings
Raji and her younger brother Golu are separated as the demonic hordes attack. It is now up to Raji to save him and put an end to this reckless war. On her quest she will have to overcome the full might and cunning of the great lord of demons, Mahabalasura.Stunning Artwork
Drawing inspiration from legendary tales of Hindu folklore and the medieval architecture of Rajasthan, Raji: An Ancient Epic brings a visually stunning and unique style to the action-adventure genre! Enter an immersive environment drawn in the Pahari art style and brought to life with hand-painted textures rendered in 3D.Tactical Combat
Diverse weapons and powers, gifted to Raji by the gods are at your disposal. Mastering them all will be vital to your success as the demonic hordes will skillfully adapt to each and every situation; while the Trishul may be perfect for one battle, the mighty Sharanga bow may be needed for the next.A Universe Set in Ancient India

Beautiful visuals ruined by some of the worst frame rates I have seen in a game. Everyone seems to have the same issue so it's not a PC issue. The game is 3-4h of three very long boring repetitive levels followed by two okay-at-best short ones. Good simple introduction to stories of Hindu Gods, but the gameplay ranges from not good to mediocre. The 3D perspective makes it incredibly difficult to do basic platforming (
though the arm coming out to indicate that Raji can jump to the next pole is a great touch to accommodate for this
. Music loops are short and background ambiance is sometimes annoying like in the lotus/water level. Ending is abrupt, unsatisfying, and borderline non-existent. I am aware this game had extreme budget and time crunch issues, which probably explains the use of the same mechanics/puzzles over and over, but it's definitely not a $25 game. Hope the studio does well going forward, but either buy on sale or don't buy at all.
The presentation of Indian culture is great and some brief story from indian mythology is on point, i even get to know something new like how garuda was born and how he became a aid of lord vishnu. the lord durga and lord vishnu is great choice for narration throughout the game, they put life and soul into the game. As a Indian obviously i am gonna bias, a 9.5/10, if you follow and love hindu mytho you gonna love it....

Amazing, such Impactful Understanding made it very Unique and sometimes the LB stucks the character, it got stund and cant use any other skill, I Urge the developers to fix it
Awesome game part 2 come soon
No doubt about the art style of the game. The landscape and the music. Simply enchanting. I wanted to see more of that. But as pointed out by others, it falls quite short on the gameplay - perhaps not much tested. Boss Rangda - No randomness in the boss. You know what she will do and what to do about it. It's repetitive. Final boss - Just too much on my screen. I could hardly see my player sometimes. I was just spamming jump-dodge-attack and somehow finished him. I also felt that those tridents on the ground appeared before the thumping. In-between fights were also mostly wall-jump and attack. I had difficulty connecting to the poles / walls to do that. Moreover, the dialogues were lame esp. between Raji and bosses. Overall it was fun. Play it on story mode to just take a stroll through the beautiful scenery.
nice world and linear story
