Please refer to my original Sniper Elite V2. This remastered is fine, has the same content as the original with some newly added DLC all-included. There is also a slight graphics update.

Sniper Elite v2 Remastered looks better, but it didn't need that remaster, and the new thing is that you can play with characters and take screenshots, which isn't the case in the original.

Still a pretty solid game for its age, if a bit simplistic. Has a bit of jank but works well enough to be pretty fun. Really tickles the itch for some good sniping, although I wish it had a bit more of an explanation on how to do it without depending on focus mode. Very satisfying to play once you get a good handle of the games' ballistics. (bullets drop insanely fast for some reason) A little confusingly, you spend a lot of times indoors and in close quarters with a lot of enemies. To compound upon this your aim with SMGs and pistols is oddly terrible, being a massive cone that can barely hit a target a few meters away. I also had a lot of problems with getting stuck on random bits of geometry and it was hard to tell what I could climb/vault over in the environment.

Got this game in a bundle on discount. Wouldn't recommend this if it's full price whatsoever. It's a remaster of an old game, and you can definitely tell that. Areas are incredibly linear, so a lot of the times you're forced to go and face the enemies head on. A lot of the time shots bug out where they teleport behind the enemy instead of hitting them.

Game is great, story is solid, and the sniping is good. Overall a great game

If you like sniper shooting, stealth and World War 2 environments. Then this game is for you, it's all about being a sniper in Germany near the end of the war, when Russia was closing in on the major cities.
