About This Game

Posable Heroes is a game that asks YOU to animate the characters.
Pose your character and press play to see how the new animation turns out. Keep adding poses until you create a full movie that solves the level.

Each level poses a challenge that you have to overcome. For this, you need to create animations that vary in length. From short and simple animations on the first levels to complex and long movies in the last levels.

Since you'll be creating an entire animation, you'll have complete control of which part of the movie you want to modify. Pause the movie at any point, and add a pose. A pose is just like a keyframe, so the character knows that it has to reach that pose in that specific moment.

After a pose has been created, move the character's limbs to any position. You may go for stylish movements, ninja movements, or whatever works for you! When you pose the character a projection will let you know what will happen in the near future. Use that projection to find the right movement.

If you are happy with it, move on! You can add as many a poses as you need. All levels require you to build a full animation to solve them.

Control up to three characters at once collaborating to solve the levels.

Yes! I'm including the level editor I used for the game. So hopefully we can create a community that shares levels and challenges with each other. TEST

Toribash, is that you, old friend?

Very fun game, incredibly satisfying to watch the finished product of your animation. There should be less puzzle-like levels, and more parkour/fighting levels. The way the game is played out, it feels awkward to be solving puzzles, and it's allot less satisfying to watch the final product of a puzzle solving level.

Really fun game, quite addictive when you get the hang of it. Things get a little clunky when multiple characters are interacting in one animation, each throwing the other off their sequence of movements, but for the most part this is a really cool unique game I recommend.

Unusual and funny concept

It's cool, and fairly unique, and watching a finished level as the hero does your crazy sequence of moves in live action is pretty entertaining. However, it doesn't quite hone in on what makes physicsy physics games funny, the whole element of [trying to do things->things you didn't intend happening] doesn't happen here much since you actively tweak your moves until the thing you actually intended (or something close-ish) happens.

It's a great game, fun and challenging campaign with awesome gameplay and really odd plot twists! All it needs is an update and the level editor finished, then it'll be my favourite game.

Honestly a fun time. As someone who does a lot of animation I feel comfortable playing this, and the combat is always fun. I just wish there was more of the game, maybe workshop support?
[THE FOLLOWING REVIEW IS OUTDATED AS THE GAME HASN'T RECEIVED ANY NEW UPDATES OR LEFT EARLY ACCCESS SINCE 2019. IT IS VERY UNLIKELY THAT IT WILL EVER GET UPDATED]
Great idea that deserves more attention. The style is really appealing, gameplay is quite original, I've never seen anything like it before. It feels like Toribash in a way, but in 2D and with a pretty nice plot to keep you engaged for some time :) There are some drawbacks though: sometimes the tasks don't seem that intuitive. Maybe it was a developer's intention, so that a player would figure everything out on their own, but for me personally it couldn't work in some missions. The moves you do sometimes feel like they cause random consequences. One small move can change the course of your entire animation. Also, the music is a mixed bag. Sometimes it's nice and atmospheric and sometimes it just feels pretty generic. BUT despite all that, once you get get used to the whole system, Posable Heroes is very satisfyin...
