It's time to tell the story of the villain. Hunt Down The Freeman takes you into a journey like no one has before. Witness the pain of the villain firsthand with over 2 hour gameplay, over 40 levels, immersive gameplay, cinematic cutscenes and an over an hour long, heart touching OST.

GEAR UP

The player picks up the Machete of H.E.C.U Sergeant Mitchell, who finds himself in a hospital during alien invasion so called 7 Hour War. Mitchell is thrust into a battle of survival and is forced to face challenges to survive. This marine has to use all of his training, both with firearms and thinking tactically, to parkouring across the levels. Mitchell has to manage his inventory with over twenty-six unique weapons and gadgets, find the best way to get the job done, and do whatever it takes for his own survival.

Key features:

  • Rich story:

A brand new adventure, a new protagonist, a new story, a new point of view. This is not a remake of a story that's already been told, it's a unique tale of a villain hunting the good guy.

  • Inventory System

HDTF boasts an inventory system with many guns to chose from, managing ammunition among your weapons. If you run out of 9mm ammunition in your submachinegun, your 9mm pistol won't work.

  • Parkour Mechanics:

    Climb, scoot and crawl
around your enemies! HDTF did more than leaning when you run, Its pride and joy is the parkour system. Falling more than ten feet doesn't mean death anymore.

  • Characters

New faces, new voices. It's time for a new cast, featuring some prominent multi-media celebrities.

  • Cutscenes:

Over 45 Minutes of cinematic cutscenes, creates the perfect taste to the story.

  • Graphics

Time for a new toaster, we've added new higher resolution textures and high-poly models, pushing Source to the limit.

Absolute Cinema. This mod is so bad it is good. The choppy animations, the awful dialogue, the completely incoherent story line, I love this.

The new beta is a huge improvement but still nothing worth spending money on

The story was just random. Sometimes I wondered how the hell I got there when a moment ago I was somewhere else entirely. The ending was probably the best part. It was cool, but that's all. The only thing that was good was the shooting and the ability to use multiple weapons.

After dodging this for 8 years, I finally gave it a go - as a massive Half-Life fan I need something to cure the drought. I must say, it's very far from perfect, but I actually had a lot of fun playing this. Salutes to President Gnomestar

Has been 100% fixed as I am writing this review (played owf staging prep) However why does it skip from being at the factory to being at a harbour? Why do your soldiers not show up until you reach the boat? Overall I had a lot of fun though (honestly I really liked the story and the gameplay this game is 100% worth it) and it's amazing what the devs did for no pay. Also some of the achievements are really funny.

Honestly I'v been binging trough half life 2 mods and after playing a lot , hunt down the freeman almost prefectly scratch that half life itch . This game level design is massive there are lot of large open spaces . Also i have to address that i was playing with owf build . i dont know what is the original experience feels like but with the owf build i had a pleasent time with the game (I dont mind the cutscenes )

Most underrated game ever... Perfectly playable, have same bugs like HL games, no more- no less, but the story is much more layered and the game mechanics are more complex...for indie developers this is masterpiece...just play without stereotypes and you will see...
