About This Game

Welcome to the Game II is an atmospheric horror / strategy / puzzle game that takes you into the world of the deep web, in search of the shadow web. Why are you in search of the shadow web? Let’s take you back into the story.

You play as Clint Edwards, an investigative reporter in a major metropolitan area. You wake up from a nap to sounds coming from your computer. Someone has sent you a link to a stream that is causing alarm to its viewers. Upon viewing the stream, you see a woman named Amalea who’s scared for her life. Amalea says something about the shadow web, and that there are men in masks hunting her down. When trying to explain her location, the stream abruptly ends. This peaks Clint’s interest, and he must dig deeper to find her before it’s too late. But little does Clint know that the deep web is not a place to poke around. You never know who else is around to poke back.

Welcome to the Game II puts you the task of saving Amalea, and how to get there. You are tasked to seek out 8 hidden hashes to decrypt the shadow web browser. You do this by using a simulated computer operating system on a computer. This simulated operating system will come with tools to help you on your way, such as a web browser (A.N.N), Note taking software, software package purchase options(zeroDAY), and more!

The hidden hashes are spread out through the deep web, on web pages. You find the hashes by carefully examining the page by either clicking around, viewing the page source, or maybe poking around a hidden file somewhere.

While you are on your search for the hidden hashes, you must hack your way into neighbors Wi-Fi’s to be avoid being tracked by the police! Fend off hackers (mini games) from stealing your data, DOSCoin (in game currency), notes. Order products to help you on your mission such as Wi-Fi boosters to get better range, motion sensors. Make DOSCoin(in game currency) by doing certain tasks such as defeating hacks and items to generate you DOS Coin!

This all takes place in your city apartment building, where you must explore around to move around the Wi-Fi dongle, set up motion detectors, go to the drop off location and more! While all doing so by being hunted by the mysterious unknows of the deep web (bad guys).

For anyone wanting to buy the game but is worried about the backdoor, don't be worried. The backdoor was patched out quite a while ago now, and even before then it only allowed for the developer to change things happening during a playthrough of the game without accessing any sensitive information relative to you or your computer, it was not invasive nor harmful to your computer in any way. With that out of the way, Welcome to the Game 2 is one of the most intriguing horror games I've ever played. The amount of strategic planning and concentration the game demands from me every second I play it makes it more immersive than almost any other horror game I've ever played, and that feeling of immersion contributes heavily to the fear factor of the game. Even after beating the game, I still feel constantly uneasy whilst scrolling the the dark web, always anticipating the next threat to appear, and despite being so aware of the danger, the game still manages to catch me offguard and scare...

Let's say you're like me. You've played the scariest games around, and you're looking for the next horror piece that'll give you that blood-gone-cold rush. This game is downright disturbing. The fear of someone sneaking in is awesome, but the search for answers as you dredge a hardly fictional dark web can be WRENCHING. The imagery isn't remotely shy and the subject matter left a bad taste in my mouth. I refunded, as I didn't have the guts or the mental fortitude necessary to progress. I don't recommend it to those of you looking for your usual chills and thrills of fear. Those of you seeking the raw and the disturbing and want to test their mettle as well as their stomach, this is the game for you.

This game is not any bit good in difficulty compared to other hard games. There is nothing to prove. This game, and its developer, fucks with you. Dark Souls plays better by a long shot! Stay well players!

This game is boring. And by boring, I mean it's a game that does not respect the player's time. It's very monotonous, and its mechanics are not fleshed out where it can keep my interest for very long. If you're into games that are long grinds with little reward and a ton of risk, then it might be your thing. For me, it's a crapshoot. It takes a million years to set yourself up to actually do the main quest without it being a complete fool's errand. The computer hacking, the wifi hacking, and the site browsing are just straight up not fun. Sure, you get the shock value when visiting some of these sites the first time because it is indeed disturbing, but it's nothing that insane. There's stuff on the surface internet that's more screwed up than this stuff, and spoiler alert people: it's not real. But that's not my gripe with the game. My gripe is that there is absolutely zero guidance on how to counter enemies in this game. One enemy type does have a vague guide (that's also partially in...
