About This Game
DEATHPIT 3000 is a top-down co-op bullet-hell shooter where you fight waves of enemies to claim arena championships! Choose a uniquely powerful ability that promotes offensive or defensive play-styles as you battle your way through four distinct Deathpits and slaughter hoards of deadly enemies to earn Spacebux and unlock weapons, equipment and upgrades, all in a humorous dystopian sci-fi universe.
Originally inspired by retro classic Smash TV, and influenced by modern co-op titles such as Left 4 Dead, Alien Swarm, and Dawn of War II: The Last Stand, it’s a punchy experience - great for casual gamers but with enough challenge and tactical depth for hours of replayability.
The game now supports up to FOUR PLAYERS in ONLINE CO-OP. It can also be played SINGLE PLAYER, or with up to FOUR PLAYERS over LOCAL AREA NETWORK, which works even without internet.
- 1-4 player co-op, online and over local area network
- 4 championships
- 4 powerful abilities (shield, teleport, lighting attack and invisibility)
- 5 voiced playable characters
- 6 tactically distinct, upgradable weapons
- Grenades, mines, jetpacks, armour, deployable walls and turrets
- 13 enemy types, each with unique attacks and weaknesses
- Complete wiki of humorous sci-fi universe and backstories
- Steam Achievements & Cloud Save
- Full Xbox gamepad support and Steam controller configuration, for PC, Mac and Linux
In development and coming soon: - Trading cards (pending Steam authorization)
DEATHPIT 3000 is the debut release by Cyberlamb Studios, a two-man indie developer from Wales, UK.

Many, many moons ago, my friends and I would sit down in front of our trusy Amiga's and play a game called SmashTV, many an evening were spent blasting away (when we should have been doing homework) at the oncoming hoards. Fast forward several decades and that nostalgic feeling of frantic shooting, score-chasing survival is back in the form of DEATHPIT 3000. You don't need hours of tutorials, you don't need to waste time getting to know the game, after 10 seconds you know what you must do, shoot anything that moves (and some things that don't) and last as long as you can, how can anyone not love that :) Can't wait for an online multiplayer so I can show the world that I am indeed, the DEATHPIT champion!
A fun, fast, frenzy of a game! Feels like an old school top-down shooter, but with a lot of features I'd expect from a modern game, like unlock tree progression. It's quick and easy to learn and jump into a game, which typically take 10-20 minutes. The later arenas are satisfyingly hard to master though - you have to develop strategies and use the special abilities and different equipments well to beat them. I've played it at a LAN party with friends and can definitely recommend making the effort to play it multiplayer, either over a LAN or online with Hamachi, as it feels like it was designed with team-play in mind.
Hands down the best game you'll ever play...ill bet my left testicle on it Pros.... Better graphics than skyrim More Violence than Dying light Better Music than glastonbury festival Cons THERE IS NOTHING BUT DEATHPIT LEGIT
Fantastic game. Co-op paradise. Very enjoyable, solid netcode, and just a ton of fun. Dev: Co-op partner can't return to the game lobby after completing a match. S/he has to rejoin every time. Hopefully that will get a quick fix. ALSO, your preferences/ability/color should be remembered from last match. Great game! Those two things will make it more polished.
dead game, playerbase is at like zero.
Great fun and easy to get into, a great game to just have a blast at.
Great little hectic, throwback top-down shooter - lots of fun in over LAN. Only thing missing is local multiplayer but looking forward to what the studio makes next!
A really fun and tight 4 player co-op game! Great voice acting and fun little quips give the clones personality and the art style is incredibly well done!! I really enjoyed this game and fankly a steal at any price less than a fiver!
Plays great, looks great and sounds great - absolute bargain and a really entertaining game!
